My seven year old son say's "The Cowboys suck dad" he doesn't care about how great they were, no one wants to grow up cheering for LOOSERS. I can't say that I blame him.:(

The problem is the kid isn't old enough to even have seen this coming.
Those of us that are old enough to know better and NOT wearing Jones colored glasses all are. The GM assembled the talent with help from (Oh no)
Parcells, even learned a little from Parcells.

Then that same GM hired the worst HC and staff he possibly could.
Unless you count play off wins as some sort of victory.

I have always thought the SB was the target but I could be wrong.

I guess the HC previous history and hiring that HCs staff was a brilliant move.
The Boys are no different than any other stop Phillips has made as a coach.
Starts out well, then turns to crap. Golly gee!

Dave_in-NC My point is I grew up watching the Making of "Americas Team" I saw the glory years I Bleed Blue and Silver, I never would have imagined my son saying "the cowboys suck dad" and not having any interest in what has been a generational bond passed down to me with The Dallas Cowboys could be shattered by a ego maniacal drunken owner, and I really cant argue the point with him and say " no son your wrong the Cowboys are great". From the mouth of babes the truth is the Cowboys suck and it pains me because it was such an enriching experience in my youth to have something to look forward to on Sundays. All he wants to know is when is the game over.

They're losers, not loosers. Spell it right, bro.

Sorry I am having a truly emotional moment. I'll try to do better, the effort is there LOL

My daughter is 18. Unfortunately, our Cowboys haven't been great since she was 3.

This kind of thing no longer bothers me. I've grown use to it over the last few seasons. There was a time when I would be down right angry and couldn't sleep after a loss. Now? Blah... whatever.

There was a time when I would drop everything for the games. Now, I don't care if I see it or not. My expectations have been officially lowered.

I think the team has about as much fire as I do. No more arguing with fans of other teams about how good the Cowboys are. The standard answer from now on is .... THEY (cowboys) SUCK!

Beat Minny.... :laugh2:

How I miss the days of Tom Landry and Jimmy Johnson. I think we were all spoiled and I miss that.

Man that REALLY puts it into perspective!

No doubt, this really drives home the idea that this organization is living and breathing only on past accomplishments its really gonna be difficult to convince Gen Instant that they need to pony up the bucks for season tickets. There is a great disturbance in the force.

This game, this day REALLY hurts.

At 3:15 p.m. central time my 96 year old grandma lost her battle with pneumonia. She always said that she made a deal with god to make it to her 100th birthday.

I live on 10th st. in a small town in Texas and on the 10th day of the 10th month of 2010 my grandmother passes right at the start of the Cowboys football game.

What pain to endure. Thats why I love this forum, its my haven, my auxillary. Great minds come here and it takes me away to different perspectives that I sometimes disagree with or embrace but all are respected and appreciated.

Well with her passing......it has put things into perspective for me.

You can't go far without a good structure. The Cowboys do not have a good structure at all. I can not put my finger on it wether its coaching or something. But one thing I do believe in my heart is this team has the talent but will not do anything with that offensive line.

This O-line are Drive Killers and Momentum Stoppers.....They are stupid!
Missed assingments on crucial 3rd downs
Holding, False Starts, Personal Fouls.

They have been the weekest part of the team for a long time. They are a pathetic excuse for our foundation. Our biggs stink and from this every piece of blame trickles from this truth: Romo sucks, Garrett can't play call, etc. etc. etc. all these situational and partial truths all derive from the fact that our O-Line stinks.

There I feel a little bit better.

Jerry is leaving his son Stephen with a generation of fans who grew up watching the Cowboys FAIL MISERABLY.

basically, he's killing the brand of the franchise and leading many younger fans to support other franchises.

Sorry to hear about your grandmother. I'm sure she's in a better place. Keep your head high. God is good!

Prayers to you and your family.
