Well here is it, a must win game but not for the Cowboys. The Bears season is on the line and even a win might not save it but a loss and they're done. They will be rabid Bears playing in their kind of conditions.
They've won 2 in a row while the Cowboys have done the opposite. Their QB is looking better, the Cowboys' QB is looking worse, shades of that pocket awareness issue raising it's ugly head. And he doesn't like bad weather.
The last Cowboys loss was even more embarrassing than the Jets loss with the Bills players partying on the sideline mocking the team. They got sand kicked in their face and their lunch money taken.
To top it off, the rumors are no longer about Garrett being replaced but who is most likely to replace him. And if it is true that his players like him, is it not time for them to show it on the field? Booger said he had Garrett's back, do the players?
This is my kind of football game because it's no longer about just the game of football, this is about manning up and the team that does that the best, wins this game. This is about heart, this is about seizing the moment to extend your season and put an end to the other guys'. This is about putting everything else out of your head including the elements, there is only this game at this time, every down, every play gets 100% of what you've got to give. It's the ultimate team sport but come Thursday, this is all about 45 individuals giving everything they've got. To a man.
This is also a dress rehearsal should they win that first playoff game and go on the road to less friendly fans and weather. What's that? Win their first playoff game, are you nuts? Nope, but I was wrong about this just being a must win game for the Bears, this is just as much that for the Cowboys because a win on the road in unfavorable conditions can do a lot for the confidence and psyche of this team.
So, the season hasn't gone like you wanted or expected, they've had some embarrassing losses and now you think it's over? Well, it's not but I want to see that from this team come Thursday and to hell with the talk about what they'll do in the playoffs, that's a month away. Right now, they have the chance to be the first team in 14 seasons to win the East back to back and right now, that's all this season is about. The rest will come later.
