That ****s going to spoil.

Not that grocery store "mayonaisse" that's 50% canola oil and 50% "preservative" (and less than 1% "white") with nary an egg in sight.

I doubt it is the type of mayo used in spicy rolls. They don't have spicy rolls in Japan. The Japanese would never put spicy sauce in sushi. It is an Americanized concept which would never sell in Japan. I doubt it is used in sushi rolls here in the US because it costs more than regular mayo and once you spice it up you wouldn't taste the mayo anyways. So, I'm sure they use the cheapest mayo they can find for sushi rolls here in the US.

3 Months ago when I was in Japan, I had seared mayonaise salmon sushi(Aburi shake mayo) and I'm pretty sure it was Kewpie mayo. It was awesome. If you like sushi, ask the sushi chef to make this for you.

You can buy it at Wegman's or in most Oriental supermarkets. It is really good, better than any other mayo or MiracleWhip.

Hmm, most japanese restaurants usually stick to japanese ingredients. I used to work at one. You're probably right though. I want to try a spicy tuna/salmon roll with that stuff now.

LOLOL. No kiddin'. But hey, where's the crime? Public service performed, IMO. Now, if it was Miracle Whip... ! Now that's a horse of a different color. Yeah, I threw that grenade into the middle of the discussion: MW vs Mayo?!

Is there a bigger, more passionate debate to be rankled over in this entire world? Well, yeah ... you're right ... maybe so.:laugh2:

Dont quit your day job..... Crickets

The only thing mayo is good for is tuna for some sammiches. Mustard rules over all other condiments :D

Yeah, I only used the miracle whip with tuna sandwiches, mustard on everything else. Although when I was just a tiny tot for some reason I liked miracle whip on just bread alone.

While you were all taking about sandwich spread, the criminals got away. Somewhere out there, 96 pounds of white goo languishes in the unknown.;)
