This goes back further then just 2007. This goes back to his days in the Navy. There is a lot more to this story then just this.

Bottom line here is that if you kill a cop or a cop's family, you are going to end up dead. It's how every law enforcement agency in this country works. It doesn't matter if you are in LA or NY. I will tell you this, here in New Mexico, if you kill a cop, you may as well forget about it. You are going to wind up dead and there is nothing at all that anybody can do about it.

Right, wrong? Doesn't really matter. This is how it is and that's not going to change.

There is a reason people don't go after families, not even organized crime.

The lesson here is don't do what this person did unless your goal is to be dead. That's just how it works.

That would be the drastic actions Dorner took. Or riots, there are all kinds of drastic things people do to expose corruption.

I haven't thought too long about it, but at the moment that is the dumbest, most ignorant conclusion to come to.

Hmmm, let's see, ... "I sense corruption, corruption is wrong, .. I think I will murder a few innocent people so I can expose this corruption".

Stupid.

Dorner was nothing more than a pyscopath.

It is a trip how everyone saying it is wrong that Dorner killed innocent people when some corrupt cops been doing this for many years and the public rarely hears about it.

Also, no one is talking about the cops who almost killed 3 people because of mistaken identity. Two women were injured from the shooting. I guess all PDs in California had a "fire at will" command if they think it is him.

He is dead and gone, and will soon be forgotten, and everything he wanted to expose and change will continue because he was an idiot.

This is exactly why you don't involve family. When a person's family is threatened, either directly or indirectly, rational thought can often be the first casualty. It's a mistake to drive anybody to this point and Law Enforcement is not above this. Nobody is. This isn't even about right or wrong. This is about human nature and when you threaten a person's family, this is what you see.

This is why you should never ever go to that length. All the rules go away.

Sure, but he still accomplished his goal to an extent. People are talking about police brutality all around the nation more than usual. He is a psychopath, but he knew what he was doing. He is not stupid, just psycho.

That guy got exactly what was coming to him. If you're going to kill innocent people to prove a point, well, good luck getting any sympathy from me when you burn alive.

Of course it will continue, but not because he was an idiot. It will continue because there are other idiots who will continue it. Just like he was the psychopath that continued psychopath sprees. Psychopath cops will continue their psychopath sprees of brutality.

He is dead, nothing will change, .. that is stupid.

Sure they are. That incident was mentioned already. But this guy just took away any sort of high ground he may have had when he killed those people like an unrestrained animal. They're dead, because he was pissed. In anger he flailed about like caveman and people who had nothing to do with his problems are dead.

I'd rather no one be sacrificed for some shallow concept like 'shedding a light on corruption'. The greater story now is: ex-Cop loses it and murders innocent people. Jobe well done.

No more widespread political conversation. You can discuss police corruption by the LAPD as it pertains to this matter. No more generalizing political comments including anecdotal ones.
