I did not see what happened. Is it serious? IIRC he had an ankle injury before and still played.

With the early pressure the Bills were applying, I figured Aaron would last until the 2nd quarter. Not even close.

I am not an Aaron Rodgers fanatic but I can’t help but feel bad for him. He might just be cooked. He seemed like he was limping after every play last season, practically.

Rodgers said in an interview a few days ago that he could envision himself playing to 45 like Brady. I definitely can’t.
Yeah it sucks for him and the Jets. That organization can’t ever get a break.

It is never good when anyone is injured but just get tired of some of Rodgers antics which border on arrogance at times like the pregame interview. No one has the power to will all outcomes especially the Super Bowl. But that is what he said. You never hear this arrogance out of Dak. Just a humble guy.

I am just amazed when people believe they have the mental power to control outcomes and destiny and is usually when they are situated with reality…..no Aaron, visualizing a Super Bowl will not get you a super bowl and may end with a broken ankle.
I doubt he, or anyone, believes they have the power to control outcomes. It's just a method of mental conditioning. As much for the team as himself.

Listen to the interview again. He was guaranteeing a win and a Super Bowl. It is more than that. Listen to him. It is actually a new age name it and claim it all over social media. Quite prevalent.

Yes it is ludicrous but he was espousing it.

I am telling you. It’s this weird combination of pseudo intellect and hipster. The combination is pretty clownish.
All over the internet. Visualize a Maserati and you will get one. Why he would believe this when he cannot win more than one Super Bowl is beyond me. He should have more than Brady, he probably already has the Maserati.

I heard it. I just think it's his spin on the same concept.

Jimmy guaranteed a win.

I don't do social media beyond a forum or two, but I'm curious to check out what your talking about.

so what? He was confident. And he should have been. Belief in the act of “manifesting” is something different. It does not matter what you are reasonably capable of, if you manifest something you will get it. Two different things.

I make no bones about not liking Rodgers. Many do feel he is very arrogant. But what sane person believes that I can name anything and claim it? Really? If that were the case no one would not get what they want. The only problem is there is only one super bowl champ every year and if every team is naming it and claiming it……and only so many Maseratis..I think you get the point…

I don't see how it is any different. They both guaranteed a win. Used different language to say the same thing. Jimmy was confident. So is Rodgers. Both are reasonably capable of achieving what they said they would. Don't see any difference.

Neither one of them would bet their life on it. They know the deal.

Look you know nothing about this “manifesting“ crap. It is a name it claim it new age philosophy that is currently rampant. Was not even around back then. Rogers has no clue that he can win another Super Bowl after years of failing year in and year out. It is not just confidence. It is a metaphysical philosophy that you get what you wish for. You are wrong. Johnson does not believe that bs. There is also positive thinking, confidence, and then there is the belief as little gods we can will any outcome we choose. It is actually nonsense but all over the internet. It is epidemic.

Dak said before the Giants game that they would beat the giants. He was confident. He does not adhere to “manifesting” nor has he ever mentioned that ever. Dak is a sold guy, a guy of faith, but he does not believe that he can will outcomes.

It looks like an Achilles. If so, his career is over at this age. He will ride his guaranteed money into the sunset which many count on with any injury at that agE. The Jets just got stiffed for millions furthering their misery for years to come.
