I am currently on a business trip in Denver and that would be a kick in the nuts to many here. They were smacking their lips on Manning coming here.

Michael Lombardi of NFL Network believes the Titans have an "ace in the hole" in the Peyton Manning Sweepstakes-Owner Bud Adams' promise that Manning could become part of the Titans' front office after his playing days are over.

Lombardi believes that Manning is not the type of guy to become a media personality i.e. Troy Aikman. Manning loves everything about the game of football and would more likely be interested in a John Elway management role.

Obviously the Broncos can't offer that as they already have John Elway. But the Titans can and this may be at the heart of their pitch.

I think he signs with the Titans for 3 reasons.....

First, he is idolized as if he was a Greek God in that state since he played for the Vols.


Second, his dad was actually teammates with Munchack back in the day so there is a connection there.


Third, he is pisssed as hell that the Colts went with a rookie over him after all he did for that franchise and to be pitched out with the trash was very embarrassing. He wants some payback.

As soon as I heard today that he was having a physical I knew his mind was made up. He has not taken a physical at any other visit, so it is pretty strong evidence a deal is already done.


Bud Adams would give Manning ownership of the team if that is what he asked for, this is the ultimate "**" from Bud to the city of Houston. Just when the Texans were getting good too..................lol
