I think the Denver D is way better than that Colts D was and Peyton was playing against a 3-4 that day.

To say nothing of the fact that, under Tony Dungy, Manning practiced against the Kiffin Tampa 2 defense every day for years.

This team is looking squarely at a 2-3 record.

If we can not score against Chargers defense, how the heck we can score 30 points against Broncos? I do think the game is going to be close though (not a blowout anyway).

Payton and his receivers are way better than Rivers and company we will be lucky if they don't hang 40 on us by halftime.

It doesn't even matter that the Cowboys are at home. They don't mind losing there. They've proven that.

4 games in and there has been ZERO improvement. That's all I ask. Just get better every week. They don't.

Anyone else see just how futile this franchise is?

Denver's D is really good if they have a lead.

If you're constantly passing then they will create turnovers.

If you can stay ahead in the game and not get into catch up mode you can have success against this defense.

BTW... We do have 1 huge matchup in our favor this game. Our DL vs their OL. Especially Ware vs whoever they are trotting out at LT.

Wasn't that supposed to be an advantage against the Chargers as well?

Yeah but Manning will try to get the ball down field.

We weren't getting to Rivers yesterday because we were just letting guys get off the line uncontested and he was taking 2 step drops and releasing the ball.

Manning's ego won't let him do that the entire game.

This Sunday is going to be a bloodbath. Jerry is going to have to change the carpet at AT&T after it becomes saturated in blood and guts of the Cowboys secondary after Peyton Manning butchers them to pieces.

It's going to be ugly. This will be an R rated event. Keep your innocent children away from the TV screens.

Don't know about that. The pressure was weak quite a lot yesterday whether Rivers was rushing or taking his time. I don't think I've ever heard anyone accuse Peyton of being an egomaniac (although I have heard that about Rivers, who just picked us apart) but there's a first time for everything. I've watched every game he's played this season and he has taken what's been given, he's not forcing a thing.

Ever hear of that guy Wes Welker?

I was at that game and it was the highlight of my Cowboy fandom flying in from DC to see that game. As for this Manning go round, Broncos win 45-24.

Sorry. On paper, it looks like a complete mismatch. The offense will have to play a perfect game to either manage the clock or keep up with Manning's brilliance. If somehow we keep the score under 31, we have a shot...

Every NFL game is different, and we're capable of beating the Broncos at home. I don't know that we will, but we're capable of doing it. The rest of the season is not a function of the last game we play, everybody.

The idea that the Broncos are a much better team is not necessarily based just on how we did against the Chargers.
