I heard most of their interview with him this a.m. here on 680 in Atlanta. They asked him some pretty pointed and tough questions about the entire Las Vegas ordeal and the now public knowledge of the extortion. It really appears Arora is confident that everything is going to be fine and that Jones will be reinstated for 2008. he also said Jones has definitely changed his lifestyle and that it will be obvious to everyone in the next 2-3 yrs. Says he is really happy that the deal got worked out with Dallas.

Guess we shall see, but it doesnt sound like the extortion thing is going to become anything to worry about, as some suggested.

Who is Manny, his agent?

i'm going to scream for a pacman stickey where all pacman threads are contained into 1 posting so we don't have 10 of 'em on the main page with every glibbit of info.

I think that Goddell has known about the extortion. I am pretty sure that Goddell knew everything that Pacman has told the police.

Thanks for posting.

I heard an interview with Goodell on Mike and Mike this morning and it seems any extortion talk is known by Goodell and the league and it seemed to be a non-issue to him.

He spoke about talking with Pacman and determining if he's done what he said he would and if he recognizes past mistakes and is changing how he lives.

If Goodell is confident after that, he would reinstate him.

There was absolutely no mention of any further information being a factor, therefore I think Goodell and the league are aware of what is now being made public.

me too.

Only I was hoping all things pacman could go in the recycle bin.

Anyone who thought this was some new development and the league didn't know about it already was really trying to fool themselves--most likely Pacman haters who were looking for anything to hope he didn't come to Dallas.

It's not like it was breaking news, the investigation was a long, drawn-out process in which Pacman cooperated with the police the entire time.

I wonder if Arora said anything about when his client will take a physical in Dallas and get started on a contract?

Adam Jones said the other day that he hurt himself trying to stay in shape. Suppose that has cleared up?

Excuse me Mr. Jones - exactly where do you want these polls installed?

I don't understand overreacting to the news about the Vegas incident.

The NFL knew all these details months ago. Just because PFT found them out yesterday and overreacted doesn't change a thing about PacMan's case with the league.

It's not like Jerry and Goodell were surprised about it.

we can ignore a poster, i'd kill dead things if we could ignore a thread as well. see it, click "ignore" and it's gone.

That is encouraging. I was afraid that if the commissioner was not aware of PM paying $15,000 to this guy this could be the last straw. While it isn't a settled issue of what the commish will do this is at least encouraging.

Jay why would we not think it was late breaking news when it was just reported by the media as late breaking news? I never heard a word of it until last week. It has not been discussed on any of these boards to my knowledge until last week. It is a relief to know that it isn't news to the commish. When I heard it I thought well this is the last straw. I am relieved. I might jump to the wrong conclusions at time but I don't manufacture news.

If PM straightens his life out and makes a good player and teammate without causing the Cowboys trouble, I will be very happy for him.

I don't have an investment in this situation one way or another. I want a SB. I want my team to win and I want the best players on the team and who are decent people who can be trusted and depended upon to do their job in a professional manner.
