I haven't seen anybody mention Delane yet, and I think he's going to be one of my top targets at #12.

The upside case for him is easy to make.... he's a friggin SILKY mover who just made unanimous All-American. According to LSU, he allowed just 13 catches and 147 yards on the season.

Reading some scouting reports for him, people's main complaint is that A. he doesn't have elite speed and B. he's light in the pants. I don't see B as a concern - Delane is rostered at the same size as all-universe CB Derek Stingley. Now A, I'll give you. He is plainly not a Stingley-level straight line athlete. I think he is NFL starter fast, but I would want to see a 40 time.

Aside from speed, Delane's got everything else. If you told me right now that my monitor is glitching and Delane runs a 4.38, I'd call him a blue-chip top 3 player. His change of direction is at a "superpower" level, and he plays with fantastic anticipation. Receivers never get a step on him, because he breaks just as fast as they do.

If his 40 time drops him out of the top ten, I think we could get ourselves a player.

I am a fan. I think he is a versatile sticky CB that can play both man and zone. Exceptional season.

My watch outs are he gave up 7 TDs the year prior at a smaller school (might have to fact check), he might be smaller than listed and the makeup speed could be a concern.

My comp is Tre White who was a very solid pro when healthy.

12 feels rich but it is an awful class at the top so I can see him being high for Dallas. I would prefer McCoy (if he's 100% and tests like a psycho) but I would certainly understand if fans preferred Delane due to injury.

PFF has him at 7 TD's in 2024. 2024 overall was not pretty. Gave up over 16 yards a catch. Really gives me pause with him. I see him more as a 20-25 range guy. I think you really have to buy his 2025 if you consider him at 12.

I agree...the improvement was astronomical so we have to give him credit but I have pause at 12.

20 feels better.

I hope people don't overthink it with Delane, just a set it and forget it day one starter.

Reminds me a lot of Carlton Davis / Byron Murphy. No special athletic traits, but just a rock solid, physical outside man corner.

Davis is a bit susceptible to speed and quickness if unable to put himself in a winning position early in routes, and I imagine Delane will be similar.

Im trying to look at this thru the lens of who beat fits the new DC and system. Which is how the Cowboys will be looking at it.

I think Delaney fits best for us. I dontbget all tied up in numbers. We did that with Jlew and he turned into our best CB when given the chance.

Corners fall in normal drafts, this is an weak class at the top. Even Styles would've graded lower than Schwessinger and he went top of 2nd and hes being talked about as a possible top 15 guy.

Im not convinced Delane is there at 20 so you'd have to pull that trigger at 12.

As a side note im targeting Hill at 20.

This seems good

Delane's 2025 coverage numbers:

31.4% forced incompletion rate
26.7 passer rating allowed
0.4 yards allowed per coverage snap
11 pass breakups
2 INTs

You don’t pick Carlton Davis or Byron Murphy at 12. Delane has to perform well at the combine but he was great for LSU last year.

Mansoor Delane vs Quincy Skinner Jr in 2024:
- Skinner was an undrafted free agent in 2025.
- He ran a 4.6 forty (6-1, 205).

Broaddus tends to fall in love with the jersey. Especially if it's LSU. For obvious reasons.

Have to look at the entire body of work and see how a player has gotten better with coaching and more experience. To his credit, he had a tremendous season in a top conference compared to his average play the prior season
