I base all of my mocks on that
and give me Burkhead all day
Analysis
Burkhead is a compactly-built 210 pounds with excellent balance, running close to the ground and with a head of steam. Burkhead is hard-nosed and tough as nails, finishing every run and popping right back after a big hit while showing the downhill patience and vision to follow his blocks.
He isn't an explosive athlete with more build-up speed than natural burst, but has quick feet to sidestep defenders and make the first guy miss. Although he lacks ?wow? ability to routinely create when the hole isn't there, Burkhead is a an energetic, workhorse runner who takes pride in his craft and runs hard with conviction and determination.
He isn't a first round caliber prospect, but could easily sneak into the top-100 picks in the mold of a smaller version of Peyton Hillis.
Corey Lemonier
Analysis
Strengths:
Quick off the edge and the type of rusher than can only be contained for so long. Blend of sped and power to penetrate the pocket and pressure the quarterback. Flashes raw power at the point of attack with a sharp punch, appearing stronger than in past years.
Has experience dropping in space and has been given coverage responsibilities. Never quits in his pursuit and is tough to stop, can only hope to slow him down. Ferocious hitter and looks for the knockout blow. Will line up as a stand up linebacker and rush from different angles
Philip Lutzenkirchen
Lutzenkirchen's greatest claim to fame for the Tigers is his ability to catch touchdowns.
Entering his senior campaign, he's also snared 14 of them, which may not sound like that much in today's era pass-happy offenses but consider that Lutzenkirchen only has 44 career receptions total. That's efficiency!
Lutzenkirchen finished third on the team a season ago with a career-high 24 receptions and led the team with seven, breaking the school single-season record for tight end touchdown grabs.
what more could we want
