heres hoping we get a 7 rd pick
1 Sheldon Richardson, DT, Missouri 6-3 #295 -
The game tape stills says he is a dynamic interior rush presence with exceptional quickness into the gaps, and that makes him awfully appealing to Monte Kiffin. The new Dallas DC built a Super Bowl champion defense around a player eerily similar to Richards in build and style, Warren Sapp.
2 Eric Reid, S, LSU, 6-1 #215 -
Reid is strictly a strong safety for the NFL until he gets better in pass coverage. Reid will be a good run-defender who can fit as the eighth man in the box
3 Alvin Bailey, OG, Arkansas 6-3 #315 -
A naturally massive man, Bailey shows impressive quickness off the snap and can knock defenders off the ball in the running game. He's athletic enough to handle blocking on the move - a requirement in an Arkansas scheme that often requires the guards to pull and block at the second level
4 Nico Johnson, LB, Alabama 6-2 #250 -
Physically imposing defender with good overall musculature and weight distribution. Has a thick lower body which aids in his anchoring against blockers. Seems to enjoy the physical nature of the game, aggressively taking on and shedding blockers at the point of attack. Appears most comfortable inside, showing the ability to make subtle side-steps to slip into gaps and meet backs at the line. Forceful hitter whose core strength is obvious as he grabs, twists and pulls ball-carriers to the ground. Gives a strong jolt to potential pass-catchers to knock them off of their routes and shows some initial flexibility and quickness to run with them. Hasn't missed a game over his career due to injury
5 Knile Davis, RB, Arkansas 5-11 #230
Scouts like Davis' size, breakaway speed and soft hands out of the backfield. He's worked hard to become a reliable pass blocker and is highly respected by his teammates and the coaching staff, earning the captain role as both a junior (2011) and senior (2012).
6 Joe Kruger, DE, Utah 6-6 #269
Tall, long body type with filled-out frame and good bulk throughout. Good natural strength with the hand and arm use to shed blocks. Closes in a flash like a bull seeing red. Quick feet and smooth movements in any direction. Good eye use and awareness to recognize and anticipate the action. Strong bloodlines, work ethic and football character. Plays with intensity and top-shelf effort.
7 Dax Swanson, CB, Sam Houston State 5-10 #200
He was as close to a shutdown corner as I’ve seen at the FCS level, showing great instincts, quick reactions, and a passion for stickiness in coverage that all the great ones have.
I’ll quote a regional scout who saw the Bearkats live about Swanson: “That kid is a baller, man.” I’ve seen four of Swanson’s games, including one in person, and I concur
