Need to figure out how to bring talent in on the defense and address the future QB position at the same time.

Came up with 2 possible trade options:
1) trade w/ Rams for #15 +2 2nd round picks --Get Noah Spence then at #34 QB Hackenberg.
2)** trade #34 to the Patriots for Jimmy Garoppolo he has two years experience and groomed under Tom Brady. Could be the best option for a QB to start now and groom for the future.

Resign, Moe Claiborne (its need not a want)
Redo CARR's contract ( he's average but reliable)
Resign Jack Crawford (affordable)

Free Agency
Oliver Vernon (huge need at Pass rusher)

Draft
#4) Myles Jack --- (more help for the defense)
#34) Trade w/ Patriots for Jimmy Garoppolo
#67) Devontae Booker--- (option 2- Paul Perkins)
#102) Miles Killebrew ---(defense)

Shoot, I'd do both. Trade 4 for 15, 45 and 48.

Trade 34 for Garoppolo. You still would have the 15th, 45th and 48th picks.

you sign a casey hayward to replace Mo. carr could get replaced by a rookie.

You always overpay in Free Agency.

How much will Casey Hayward want?

There's no guarantee the rookie is going to be as good never mind better than Carr.

And then there are people who want Church and Wilcox gone as well.

So Scandrick, Jones and a handful of 2nd year players and rookies.

Yea that will work!

Scandrick, Jones, Hayward (he wont get much more than Mo in free agency), and Ramsey. You damn right that will work.

Ummmm........... I think you are undervaluing what Hayward will get in free agency. He's going to get more than just a little more than Mo IMO. When guys like Jenkins get snatched up by their teams, a guy like Hayward gets pricier. Call it the Maxwell effect. He won't get Byron Maxwell money but he's going to get himself a good raise.

Seriously doubt Pats take that trade.

Probably not although it's not outrageous. Even some of the Pats beat writers have opined that given Brady is locked up for a few more years, Jimmy G's contract runs out in 2017 and the Pats are without a first round pick, they might be inclined to move him this year when his value might be pretty high.

Without another QB on the roster, I just don't see this happening.

Why do I keep hearing about Hayward ? He can't stay on the field he's missed more time than Claiborne and he is burnt toast. He had one good season as a rookie and has been terrible since. The packers want nothing to do with him.

And if the Chargers draft Ramsey and/or another team outbids us for Hayward (since the majority of teams have more cap space than us) what happens to your fantasy off-season?

While in the real world, free agency begins at home (for the well run teams that is).

It seems as though every mock has Carr and Mo coming back. do yall even care about this team?lol

I could see us going with a different third corner than Claiborne, especially if his asking price gets too high, but I only see us getting rid of Carr if we go after a high-priced replacement or take a corner in the first.

When talking about corners, how come no one talks about Janoris Jenkins or Trumaine Johnson?

The media is talking, maybe its just posturing on the Patriots part but at #34 Garoppolo would be worth it....heck I would through in a 4th/5th to sweeten the pot.

The Patriots are without a first-round pick in this year's draft, but could they make some noise anyway?
Jeff Howe of the Boston Herald recently brought up an interesting prospect: Trade backup Jimmy Garoppolo to a quarterback-needy team and potentially get a very early second-rounder back -- or at least a pile of mid-round picks.

Garoppolo has shown plenty of promise and has already spent two years playing behind quite possibly the best quarterback in NFL history. This would not be the Ryan Mallett trade again, as Garoppolo is much younger and was a more polished prospect coming out of college when the Patriots drafted him in the second round back in 2013.

The Cowboys were very interested in him the year he was coming out, but I am always cautious of players leaving NE. I know he is a back-up there, but Bill Belichick has a much better history of getting the most from players than Garrett does. If he is willing to trade Garoppolo, I worry about his long-term prognosis, particularly when they don't even have another QB on the roster at the moment. I am not sure I would give a second round pick for him.

Just no to trading picks for players.

Why should we, we get a QB that is supposed to be Romo's heir apparent but has 2 years left on his contract but will be sitting to learn for 2 years...then we may right where we are today. Needing a back up franchise QB type.
When we can select a QB this year and have him for 4 years.

is that what Denver did? Pats signed Revis to get over the hump. You go ahead and be content with Morris freaking Claiborne
