Do you all feel like the days are painstakingly slow between now and March 3? So much anxiety and uncertainty about what is going to come to pass.

Well, Cowboys fans aren't too concerned that their team is going to have to be dismantled, and lose even more depth, so there's a little less anxiety :p:

But, I can't wait for some action to talk about!

The part that gets me is this...the Washington media has had NO coverage of the Commanders cap situation. Yet reading the CBA and people who've taken the time to run the numbers we have a tough go of it without a new CBA.

Yet I hear on the radio that we are trading Ramsey and unspecified draft pick for Abraham. I hear that we are also also interested in Ray Lewis, and so forth.

I want to know the reality of whats going on with the CBA and cap...all of the speculation is torture.

Here's the deal....noone really knows. It certainly looks, with the threads I've read on ES and such, that the Skins are in HUGE trouble, if the CBA isn't extended by March ?1???? I agree with some Skins fans, in that I can't believe that the front office didn't have some contingency plan. They've been known to be irresponsible before, but could they really be THAT irresponsible?

I think the bigger lesson, regardless if the apocolypse is upon the Skins or not, is that the Commanders method of doing business, is short-sighted at best. Having to cut and renegotiate excessive amounts of players every year, just to sneak under the cap, is no way to operate the team. Will they learn? They haven't yet, so I doubt it. They've tied their own hands behind their backs, and all they have to show for it is a sweep over Dallas (which is apparently equivalent to the Super Bowl, after how the midget and the entire team reacted...), and the weakest playoff victory of all time. They have zero depth, and almost no ability to improve their team. It's time to learn.

I'm concerned about it because I don't want to see an uncapped league. It's tough to tell what's going to happen because you get so many people saying different things. And while I'm a Cowboys fan and they would be one of the teams to have an advantage in an uncapped league (along with the Skins, Seahawks, etc)....my interest in the league would greatly diminish with an uncapped league.

I used to outright love baseball to its fullest and grew up dreaming about being a starting pitcher in NY Yankee pinstripes. And while I still root for my Yankees, MLB has become so ridiculous that formerly proud franchises like Pittsburgh and Kansas City can't compete anymore. And for that, baseball has really lost its luster IMHO.

That and frauds like Bonds, McGwire, Palmeiro, etc....along with 5 hour long games don't help matters any either.

Even still, I could care less about the Skins caps problems. I want to know what Dallas is going to do in the offseason to improve its team. You're not going to have teams roll over so you can win a Super Bowl. I'll always take my team putting forth the best roster available and let the cards play out from there.

Every year I hear how the Skins are in cap hell.

Well, for a team that's supposedly in cap hell, they finished the season 10-6 ... better than us who had tons of $$$ to spend, and also swept us.

They weren't in cap hell last season and nobody said they were (unless they were greatly misinformed). Everybody has been pointing to this season as "cap hell."

The fact is Dallas has owned Washington in the past 20 meetings and only finished 1 game worse this season than Washington. And if Dallas didn't have by far the worst kicking game in the league this past season, that would've been a different story.

I agree. Any championship won in an uncapped year is suspect in my book. How what the Yankees do every year is not called cheating I don't know.

So the 5 Super Bowls the Cowboys won are suspect?

I dont know how you worked baseball into that, but I agree. I dont want to see an uncapped year. I want the skins to pay through the nose. I want it to hurt really bad. If the skins get out of this without so much as releasing 1 player they really want to keep, I will scream. I have waited since the days I realized what cap hell was by living through it, for the skins to pay, when I saw them start heading down that road, I just smiled to myself and said, let find out all by themselves what mismanagement of the cap will do. Now theres a chance they wont pay the piper for all that dancing they did. That would chap my ***.
