Plaxico Burress is a monster. He got a lot of back-door "character police" negative hype from the Steelers so they could ruin his bargaining power. He's still just as dominant as ever-- if you throw to him!
That "character police" stuff is a LOT more than just "negative hype", it is the truth...
I have friends who work law enforcement down in the Virginia Beach area, and they are incapable of saying Plax's name without their lips curling into a sneer of contempt...
Bottom line, if even half the stories they told me are true, Plaxico Burress is a sociopathic punk... wild stories about him and his crew prowling the boardwalk, hassling tourists, even panhandling off of them (this is since he entered the NFL, so presumably he wasn't doing that for the MONEY)...
And it's quite laughable to call him "dominant", at any point in his career... his best year, 2002, he caught 78 passes for 1325 yards and 7 TDs... those are good numbers, but hardly "dominant"... and for his career, he averages 61 catches per 16 games played, and 970 yards receiving... again, good numbers, but calling that "dominant" play is a joke...
