I feel like you missed a golden opportunity to ask him what (if any) plans he had made for intensifying his mohawk experience this season.

Cool.

He's a good guy and a good player. I don't know why he catches some of the **** he does from fans.

The almighty QB sack, I suppose.

There is much more to playing defense than that... particularly when talking about a 34 DE.

It started when he didn't produce much even before we made the switch to 3-4 full time, and more was expected from a 1st rounder. He's developed into a solid 3-4 DE since then, but really not a special one. And it took some time. The Cowboys seem to be touting Hatcher and Bowen a lot more these days, and they certainly didn't make much of an effort to sign Spears to anything more than a low budget contract, so the team apparently feels they could live without him.

The Cowboys feel good about all of those players in there chances of winning the big game.

some of you crack me up....u dont get where fan come down on spears....as if fans just woke up one day and decided Marcus was the new whipping boy....it starts with lack of productions. Spears for few years was a disappointment...he was often moved off the ball and lack of pass rush to get to QB (now some of this is scheme) but lets be realistic.....did Dallas throw big tender offer his way?? nobody knows Marcus more than cowboys and there tender offer was insulting....do u think Dallas treats special players this way? i dont. I think spears is really nice guy and very personable....but the proof is in the pudding...and Marcus was a 1st round pick who was expected to play at high level......right now he is in danger of being replaced by undrafted player (Stephen Bowen) and a 3d round pick in 2006 (Hatcher).

And this is a response to my post how?

The only part of my post maybe this could relate to is my comment that the team apparently feels they could live without Spears. To this I would say that all the team would offer Spears in the offeseason was a $1.226 million contract, whereas they agreed to pay both Bown and Hatcher $1.759 million.
