Oh boy, just what we need..

Boy I tell you, today's athlete's are nothing but a bunch of pansies. Good lord.

And the hits keep on coming. Hoping he is fine.

"Hits"? C'mon now.

I'm giddy about our health entering the season. Some backups have gotten hurt, but do you realize we should have all 22 starters healthy and ready to go in Tampa Bay (assuming Roy and Spears are fine)? How many teams can say that right now?

We've dodged bullets in the sense that everyone who has gotten hurt has been a backup.

Yes the injuries have been primarily to backups on offense & defense, except they would be considered the core starters on ST (the same unit that the Cowboys have had so much trouble this past few seasons and was the unit directly responsible for the injuries to key performers & key losses).

Don't take my word for it, ask Coach D. I agree it could be worse, or it could be better.

I can't believe I'm agreeing with you - but I agree. Very, very valid point.

Don't speak to soon, there is still one meaningless Preseason game to play, I'm sure you have heard of Murphy's law right??

What can go wrong will go wrong, when you talk about how lucky we are staying virtually injury free .

Bite your tongue.

You're right, and that's why I hope the starters who DO see action only get one series.

And unfortunately, there will be starters who see action.

Martellus Bennett will start with Witten sitting... he's another guy I hope only gets one series.

I don't mean to offend anyone on the boards....but I wonder how many of you all have ever played a sport on a consistent basis. I think it is absolutley assinine for teams to put these guys on turf for 2 a days to prove who is the toughest. In todays NFL guys stay in shape pretty much year round. During the season they do basically walk throughs because it would be too taxing on the body to play games on Sunday AND hit during the week. So if this is true about the regular season....why on earth would they work these guys TWICE a day for a month straight?

You hear every player saying that turf in San Antonio is murder. I know first hand how your knee begins to ache from over use. Over use in the form of 2 a days for 30 straight days. I am sure many people will hop in and blast my post...but again, I have no choice but to QUESTION if you have EVER played a sport if you cannot comprehend how a guy weighing 325 pounds would have an aching knee after what he has gone through over the past 6 weeks.

I believe a lot of it is due to an age old mentality of training camp being a war of attrition...those who survive our guys you can TRUST. But the size, power, and speed of todays athlete should make the NFL reconsider this approach.

What good is it to SURVIVE training camp, only to have legs of jelly for the season?

Now our camps are too hard and everyone only does walk-throughs during the season?

I think it is just sore from him dancing and singing in the tulius video.:D

About this time a lot of players are starting to feel pain and will be dealing with it until the off-season

Agents must LOVE twitter: Spears is in a contract year and he just can't resist "twittering" about his knee that's "killing" him. I'd be unhappy if I was his agent...not smart.

Wade can't like players tweeting about undisclosed injuries.

(But yea guys, Twitter is useless, it's fad! haha)

I never had a problem with how our camps have been run before...look at the start of our seasons under both Parcells and Wade. So to me our camps have been more than fine. The December struggle is a hot topic of debate...but to me it is pretty simple...last year we played 3 of the top 5 defenses in the NFL in December. This has also been true of some other Decembers where we have struggled, the competition got better...and we were not better than the teams we played that day. With Pitt...we were only a few points short. But again, big powerful men will have aches and pains at the end of training camp because the combination of working out YEAR round...the size, speed, and strength of players...and the training camp tough man contetsts eventually catch up with the body.

I expect that it is pretty much normal for a 320+LB lineman to have sore knees about this time of the year.
