Commanders SLB Marcus Washington (hamstring, shoulder) will be a game-time decision for Sunday's game against the Cowboys.

Washington is taking it easy in practice and coach Jim Zorn said he was "encouraged" by the linebacker's progress. If he's not able to go, it's an upgrade to Marion Barber's matchup. Barber already gets a boost do to the likely inactivity of Anthony Montgomery, the Skins' biggest defensive tackle.

Commanders CB Shawn Springs (calf) is concerned that he might not be ready this week.
Springs has been out since October 9. "It's getting better but not as quick as I thought," he said Wednesday. The Commanders badly need the cornerback with Tony Romo expected to return. If Springs is less at less than full health, Terrell Owens could be in line for a big day.

You just play with what you got like we've had to do. I hope all their starters play so the skins fans won't cry.

who cares if they cry... we just had to deal with the biggest impact of injuries we've had in a very long time and our backs are against the wall

well, too bad for the Commanders, their fronts are facing our shotguns.

I so hope Washington doesn't play. He has skills no one on this team has. He's what Burnett was supposed to be.

And it will be a very good thing for Springs not to play.

I don't believe they won't play but it would be just fine with me.

For whatever reason, Springs always plays against us and plays well at that.

Just like with Portis.....I'll believe it when I see it

I think it is true. The NFL has come down a little harder on teams with respect of the injury report, thanks to Billicheat.

This game is huge for us, and it's shaping up to possibly be ugly for the Skins. I constantly underestimate that team, but how huge would it be for us to blow them out in their own stadium? I'll take all the missing Skins players we can get this week.

I'm not a very combative poster, and I'm not going to be disrespectful to you on your board. All I'm going to say is I've seen a lot of Cowboys posters (both here and on the ES boards) complain about how Terrence Newman had a bum leg when our teams met earlier this year, and that it led to Santana Moss having a big game.

If you don't want us to cry about our injuries, then I'd ask that you (not you specifically) not do so when the Skins win these matchups. Regardless of what happens, you're not going to hear a peep out of me about injuries, the other CB's on our roster are men; if they can't handle actually playing, they'll get weeded out eventually.

Good luck to you, and here's to no further injuries for either side.

You mean the same way some Cowboys fans did saying Newman was hurt and that's the reason the Skins had such a big game?

Can't really fault them for crying about injuries when loads of Cowboys fans have done, and continue to, do the same things.

Exactly. I'm hoping the Commanders players DO play but not just because I don't want to hear people whine, cause I do hate to see anyone have a built in excuse with injuries, but also because i just like being able to see the Cowboys beat teams when they've got everyone going.

That way it leaves no doubts.
