2012 Free Agency

1.Chris Myers, C, Houston
2.Mario Williams, OLB, Houston
3.Eric Wright, CB, Detroit

Draft

1. Janoris Jenkins, CB, Northern Alabama
2. Kevin Zeitler, OG, Wisconsin
3. Brandon Boykin, CB, Georgia
4. Jake Bequette, DE, Arkansas
5. Tank Crader, ILB, TCU
6. Delvin Johnson, NT, Marshall
7. David Paulson, TE, Oregon
8. LaVon Brazill, WR, Ohio

I would also move Ratliff to DE to help improve the pass rush as well. Brent is big enough and has shown flashes of being a solid NT in this league it is time to give him a shot. I know that I didn't really address the oline to much but I feel like this would provide a decent upgrade to what we already have in place and get rid of the atrocious play in the middle of the line. This would also instantly upgrade the secondary and provide us with a solid squad at the position for years to come.

no thanks to a 30 plus OL that will get big money. If your going to pay big money for a OL go ahead and get Nicks who is 4 years younger.

Mario williams won't happen. WHy would he come here to play in a 3-4 when 4-3 teams will be wanting him just as much if not more.

Eric Wright, not thanks to a over the hill CB that was benched by Ryan and Henderson when they were all together in Cleveland.

How do you know that Mario Williams is going to just as explosive rushing the passer out of a stand-up position?

A lot of guys lose some of their explosiveness when not being in their "sprinter's stance".

Needless to say I'm not dropping any coin on the guy.

If Kirkpatrick doesn't make it to #14, I think Janoris will be the pick, and I am perfectly fine with that.

I hope we can get Webb in FA from Baltimore at CB.

I'm o.k. with re-signing Spencer as well. I'd look to upgrade Coleman at DE instead.

At Safety, not sure what the team will do, but I'd prefer a Safety with more range than Elam (and playmaking ability).

I'm not going into the draft with just an upgrade at C. The OL is too big of an issue to hope the draft falls just right.

Had already had 5 sacks before he was injured, from the stand position.

Jenkins and Boykin are too small. I wish they had some more size to em, but they don't.:

lol @ people complaining about signing a 30-31 year old center..centers play well into their mid 30s..I would LOVE to snag Myers

myers is too small; gets worn down usually late in the season

5 sacks in 5 games.

5 sacks in 5 games is very good.

Still a small sample size.

But the cost to sign him is going to be astronomical.

I don't see the Cowboys going that direct.

Decent upgrade? All we get on the line is Myers. I don't think we move Ratliff to DE unless we get somebody amazing to play NT. I do like the idea of getting Super Mario. We need 2 new safties, more depth on the lines and a quarterback or two.

Agree with the sample size, however, he proved he could play the position.

We went after the biggest Free Agent prize last year, why wouldn't we try to make a splash again? Granted, we swung and missed. I think we are still capable of hitting a homerun. Mario would be one for sure.

Not really. As a DE in the Texans nickel and dime packages Mario was effective. As an OLB...not so much. Imo Mario needs to sign someplace where he can play DE in a 4-3.

And what if that place is here?

I just would love to see Mario in a Cowboys uniform. I honestly think that he will go for a high price but nothing just to insane.

You might need to switch the 2nd and 3rd picks in your mock. Zeitler was projected as a 3rd rounder, and didn't do much to distinguish himself at the Senior Bowl. Of course, that would mean taking CB in rounds 1-2. Can't see that happening either. If they trade down from the 2nd round pick, then I could see them taking Zeitler.

Webb is a RFA which means no chance
