With the success of addition by subtraction, I really can't understand why Barber is still here.

Does anyone miss Terrell Owens, Patrick Crayton, Ken Hamlin, or Flozell Adams?

All overpaid, aging, underperforming players who have capable backups rusting behind them.

Its time to start the Felix Jones era, its been time...

When this actually happens its going to seem like such an obvious move, and thats because it is obvious.

Dez Bryant, Alan Ball, Miles Austin, and Doug Free are perfect examples of why Felix should be the starter, and why Marion probably shouldnt even be on the team.

If Felix had shown he was durable enough to carry the load, or dependable enough to be the feature back, that might be an option. But Barber has been our most productive back thus far, and it wouldn't make sense right now.

Not sure if adding Ball to this list strengthens or weakens your point, but I am also hoping the Cat's era starts sooner than later. Still think Barber should be Marcus Allen to Felix's Bo Jackson.

Yea for all the grief barber gets, hes been our most productive back so far.

i thought someone might say this. The thing I see with Ball is that I don't see a huge drop off if any from Hamlin, and he is obviously more cost effective.

Felix Jones is like Turner sitting behind LT, except Barber is no LT.

Barber hasn't exactly been the model of dependability the last few years, and if Barber has been the most productive, it's only because he's been given the most opportunity.

Production per touch is not even close.

It's probably because Felix hasn't shown that he is ready to take over for MBIII. Barber has been our most productive back this year. Felix keeps getting tackled for losses and hasn't had any of his explosive long runs. Barber has been making good runs...they're not really long runs but he consistently gets yardage whereas Felix seems to lose yardage as often as he gains yardage.

But we have always loved our backup running backs here in Dallas.

What has Jones shown you this year? I'm serious and a little concerned.

While Barber has played better so far this season than he did most of 2009. And he's our best blocking RB.

Don't even get me started on Choice. That boy better learn too fricken block.

This telling stat is even more a reason why Felix should be the starter.

When we have 100+ yards rushing in a game we are 26-4 (since 2007). Under 100 yards rushing we are 7-14

Umm, all that says is we should run the ball. Doesn't say who should run the ball.

I see what you're trying to convey, but still. :lmao2:

Bo was one of a kind.

I would be willing to wager that roughly 75% of those 100 yard games came because we were ahead in the 4th and running out the clock.

Chicken and egg.

Ahhh. That's one of those Parcels' stats he used to love to hang his hat on.

We were not 26-4 in those 30 games because we rushed for 100 yards. We rushed for 100 yards in those 30 games because we were winning and or ultimately won 26 of them.

Well, lets see if Felix is durable now. Give him 17 to 20 carries. He bulked up a bit, lets see what he's got. It's not like Barber has been very durable himself, although he probably is able to play through injury more than Felix.

We won't know unless we try it and I'd be pretty interested to flip Sundays carries...Jones 17, Barber 7 and see where it goes.

it goes to felix jones rushing for 150 yards, because he takes at least one of those for like 60-70 yards

Marion's healthy right now, and he's beasting.

just because he celebrates like he is beasting it after 2 yard carries doesn't mean he actually is beasting it.

he has a pedestrian 3.5 ypc going for him right now. 125 yards rushing in THREE games...

a real running back can get that in just ONE game...

Consider the competition.

Not a lot of people are rushing for a ton of yards behind Alex Barron or against Brian Urlacher and Lance Briggs.

I heard Micheal Lombardi today and he was saying the same thing, I find it incredible that we continue to use Barber as the starter when it is obvious that Felix is the better back.

Just use the best RB for the love of God, how hard is that to figure out.
