Marion Barber popped up on Thursday's injury report as limited with a knee injury.

This is the first we've heard of a knee issue for Barber. The injury isn't known to be serious, so we'd expect him to return to a full practice Friday before starting Saturday night. Check back Friday afternoon for a practice update.

Tashard Choice (concussion) has been cleared to play this week by the Cowboys' medical staff.

Choice will resume his duties as the third tailback behind Marion Barber and Felix Jones. He won't touch the ball more than a handful of times barring injury to other two backs.

Guess I worded it that poorly. It's not great news that Barber is hurt -- of course not. It's great news that Choice is okay, especially if another back is dinged. It could be a distaster to be down to only one back in this game.

Ware misses Cowboys practice

The Cowboys had a surprise addition to the injury report Thursday.

DeMarcus Ware missed the session with a sore back, but the issue is not supposed to limit him on Saturday. Marion Barber was limited with a knee injury, while Tashard Choice (concussion), Marc Colombo (ankle), and Pat Watkins (knee) all practiced fully.

Since the game is only two days, this is more like a Friday practice, which is usually lighter. Ware practiced fully the last two days without problems.

Choice declared himself "ready to go," which means the Cowboys could run their version of the Wildcat if they choose.

Unless Barber is less than 100% I'm happy seeing him and Jones for the most part. I have no problem with Choice esp if Barber is hurting though. All three can pound the rock. I want Felix to see more carries though. If Choice gets some of MBs carries, too, I wouldn't mind that.

I think we're good to go barring illness.
