We didn't see much of Marion Barber during the game and I believe Cris Collinsworth said that he was healthy enough to play in the game.

Was this a case of just resting Marion Barber and going with the hot hand or could this mean that we will be seeing more of Felix Jones and Tashard Choice?

It's definitely a good problem to have, if you want to call it one.

kristie scales said repeatedly that the team said during the game he wasnt hurt, but after the game they said he was.

Here is what I think.

Marion barber is from minnesota and he played college football at minnesota...

Umm he is not going to miss the game.

I read in a couple of different blog entries Barber had a considerable limp after the game and Wade said in his postgame presser Barber wasn't right physically.

I hope Barber is able to play, but that Felix gets the bulk of the carries. To run on Minnesota you have to attack the edges of that defense, who better to attack that with than Jones?

Barber won't miss any time but I think what happened Saturday was this. He came in with a bruised knee that was giving him a little trouble, could have played if badly needed, but the coaching staff did the smart thing, the right thing, and road the hot hand which was Felix and Choice and that allowed Barber to not bang up his knee anymore.

I think Marion will get some more touches on Sunday, of course, and if he's the hot hand they'll ride it. I think what they've figured out on this staff is how to ride the hot hand with their 3 headed monster.

MartyBTV...which I cannot stand by the way....has some video from the lockeroom after the game. If you notice, you can see Barber LIMPING around the lockeroom...and of course he did NOT know the cameras were on him. So clearly he was/is hampered.

I think that the bruised knee that kept him out of practice last week was bothering him and affecting his play. The week before Barber was running good with a big run to start the game. Hopefully his knee is not a problem for him heading into this game.

Barber was hurt. You aren't going to not use him. If he was right, Garrett would at least have had him in for pass blocking. The team simply is not giving out in-game injury information. You want Philly at least thinking during the half that they need to prepare for Barber coming in and trying to close the game out.

I do think that MBIII is hurt pretty badly though. You don't make a decision to sit down a weapon like that lightly.

I read somewhere that Barber took himself out of the game, so maybe he felt his best chance of playing in front of family and friends at the home stadium was to sit this one out.

I think he's hurt, but I want him to be a big part of beating the Vikings so bad.

We are going to need Barber more this week than we ever did last week.
Even though our first drive stalled, we showed for a second week in a row Philly had no answers for our offense.

There was no need to play a dinged up player.

Normally, you're 100% right, but as well as Jones was running and with the lead we ended up with in the second quarter, it makes to sit him even if the injury's not all that significant. It doesn't take much to make a case to get Choice some touches, and we're definitely going to want Barber as healthy as possible this week. Who knows what the team might have done if we'd needed him later in the game.

I agree completely. As we continue to make our way through the playoffs, we are going to need him more & more. He still runs like a caged animal (when healthy) and blocks like crazy. No use getting him hurt worse when things were going so well in the game.
