He is still not running like the starting running back of the cowboys should run...

maybe its the blocking idk... im just not happy with our running game sans felix jones.

They said Marion dropped some weight and is a bit faster. I haven't really noticed it, but then again it's kind of hard to without doing a side by side.

I think our big mauling offensive line suits a style like Felix better. But since Marion more or less became the starter here and got that contract our staff has seemed to want to keep it that way.

I'm fine with Marion starting, I just think Felix needs to get more carries and playtime than he is during preseason, which I'm sure he will.

I agree with what Aikman and Buck said during the broadcasts. Barber is a closer, not a starter. I would much rather have him pounding people in the fourth when the defense is worn down a little than I would in the first when the defense is fresh. Let Felix get some carries then. His speed gives him a better chance than Barber to make a big play early. JMO

Wow, that's a harsh indictment for having only played two preseason games. I'd have to say I disagree. Given we're running a new offense this year without T.O., I'd say the running backs look better than we've had in a long time. In fact, I'd say this is the best group of running backs I've ever seen and I think they're running the ball just fine. That is, based on the limited carries I've seen in what boils down to a practice game.

I just don't get why anyone would criticize Barber, whose been nothing but a solid staple in our offense, unless of course this thread is just meant to get a reaction out of other posters.

Either way we go, we have three good running backs. It's easy to see that Barber can run those short yardage plays, but Felix can find the hole too. And late in the game when the defense is tired it can be a chore to catch a shifty speedster. He's an exceptional player. Either way we go, I don't think it's a mistake to run any back we have.

Don't forget about Choice. We can run all three at any point in the game. To me, it doesn't really matter at all.
