had a couple nice runs today but for someone to be so quiet why does he alway's taunt and celebrate even after a 1 yard run. Act like you been there before. I loved the touchdown but you just had to take the helmet off and prove what. you could of left the helmet on for that.

But other than that Barber ran alright today.

also can someone tell me why Hurd couldn't do what "Roy" is doing as a WR at a fraction of the cost Roy is a bum im sorry. On the int he looked like he was bracing for the hit and was looking at the linebacker coming. The ball wasnt the best but as much as he is getting paid he has got to make that catch. That also cost us the game. The pass to miles if you look at the replay was off target and probably would of been picked even if miles don't slip. The ball hit Cromatie on his left shoulder(inside).

I am thrilled he ran well. I am hoping some team is dumb enough to actually give us something for him. The Barber I know will be back to his 2.7 yards/carry as soon as we deicde to start him again net year. No thanks.

His blocking and short yardage running showed why he is still on the field.

I agree. His act has gotten old. He used to provide a spark, but now he mostly does nothing and then when he does do something he jumps around like an idiot. The taking off of the helmet shows how stupid some of these guys are on this team. Did he not learn anything from our celebration penalties earlier in the year? He can get out of here with RW, Colombo, Davis, and co. I won't miss him.

When was the lst time a player took his helmet off during a game? Was it that Cleveland Brown player that thought the game was over years ago?

How stupid can MBIII get? It's bad enough that everytime I see MBIII get a 20 yard run that I have to feel that FJ would have taken it to the house.

Barber clearly out-ran Choice today yet people still hate on him... Keep it comin, MB3>Choice its clear as day...

The man IS a spark to the team. Taking the helmet off was not a smart move and he shouldnt have done it but he ran really well and protected the QB really well from the backfield.

You FEEL a 20 yard run from MB3 would equal a FJ TD, well its because of that one word: FEEL. Who says Felix would have seen the hole and made the right cuts? A lot of people just have this negative vibe towards MB3 and ASSUME others would do better. Well guess what 8 YPC today tells it all. Wish we could just give the man his props and quit talkin junk about a player who always gives it his all on the field.

Great game MB3, keep up the hard work and keep the BS down. The man gets fired up, and I can't fault him for that. Just keep the helmet on next time for a couple more steps

Barber's penalty is beyond stupid. Just way out there exceeding the limits of stupidity. Unbelievable

Not on that play since that run involved running through 2 guys.

I said a couple days ago that Barber still has running ability. Hes just way too slow to pair w/ this group of linemen. Whereas Felix can bounce it any time and make something out of nothing.

LOL...OK.

Just make sure that you don't take a look at his 1.9 YPA against New Orleans, or his 1.8 against Jacksonville, or his 1.5 against the NYG, or his 2.8 against Chicago, or his 2.3 against GB, or his 2.8 against Detroit. This is our STARTER that we are talking about....face it dude, the guy is D.O.N.E. here.'

He had a couple of good runs, but to say that he is better than the other guys is pure folly. LOL.

It wasn't "beyond stupid" it was an unthinking spur of the moment act by a man who has had a frustrating season and just made a great play to get us back in the game. His 24 yard TD run was a thing of beauty and his overal toughness and passion is just what this team need more of not less of.

Beuhlers miss, Roy's 7-pt. bobble and Ball's inability to play safety on the long pass cost us this game--MB's meaningless 15 yd penalty didn't come close.

Field position IS important. Do you realize that MBIII would be the goat today if they would have scored on that drive after we had to kick of from where we did? It happened once before and cost us a game....that's the point. Celebration penalties are the height of stupidity, IMO.

They ended up punting, it didnt matter. Barber was fine and is fine as a player. Just for someone else next year

Punting from where? Could it have resulted in us actually having better Field Position resulting in a FG?

The point of Field Position goes all the way down to FG attempts. Could we not have gotten a FG? Quite possibly.

Any time a player gives up 15 yards on a play they have a negative mark on their book. Barber gave up a totally unnecessary 15 yards because he did something incredibly stupid. I still think its a stupid point of pride that Barber wears hair half way down his back, something that is very dumb for a RB to do.

"Starter" is a term we can use loosely since we know STARTER does not equal MAIN back on this team.. And by the way I dont know if you've paid attention but Felix started the game...

It seemed as if MB3 was completely healthy as was Choice, and it was CLEAR MB3 ran better... Unhealthy MB3 Vs Choice you gotta take Choice but YPC is not a fair look between the two RB's.

A Runningback whose majority of work comes in short yardage/Goalline/Time-Chewing situations is going to have a lower YPC than a supposed All-Around back like Choice.. I.E Jerome Bettis averaged less than 4 YPC his career but many would claim his as a great back.

I dont mind Choice, but he just hasn't been anything good all year.. ONE game besides todays brilliant 4.0 YPC has he averaged more than about 3 and a half YPC.

People can hate MB3 all they want but the man plays with heart and when healthy runs well. Health is the struggle with him, but I think its Oh so folly for someone to say a healthy MB3 is worse than Choice

LOL...Call me Folly, because I believe without a doubt that TC is better than MBIII.

TC hasn't had a blind man's chance...BUT where he HAS had a chance he did better than ANY other NFL RB when he went against the top 4 defenses when both MBIII and FJ we're out and any other RB in the league.

Bettis? Screw him....was never impressed with him. They would just run it up the middle and pray that he would run over someone. Plus, we aren't the Steelers.

If you can't see that TC has vision and that MBIII's nickname is "Bounce", then that's on you.

You give each one the same 20 carries against the same team and TC comes out ahead of MBIII everytime...but there is no way to run that....this isn't Madden.

LOL LOL LOL LOL LOL LOL

MB3 is more of a situational back than TC, I can admit there are certain situations where TC is much better but there are certain situations where MB3 is much better--- Which is why there even is this debate.

I just think you should stop ridin' about what TC did 2 years ago and realize POSSIBLY he caught some teams off guard because since then he hasn't dont much even with his opportunities here and there.

Choice double-digit carries this season and last:
14-42
18-82
14-33
19-100
15-53

Some good, Some bad, nothing to die for.

In 09 MB3 ran for 4.4 YPC on a bum leg all year... This year his YPC hasn't been so hot, but he's not an elusive guy and our OL has been letting guys get into the backfield all year (To be fair, I think TC and MB3 would both average 4+ YPC if the Oline was doing it's job)

Personally, I'd take a HEALTHY MB3 over choice any day of the week...

OK dude, go ahead and row your boat with MBIII....

Personally,I think that BP had it right with him in that he was a 3rd down back.....but I have to even wonder about that nowadays.

Barber's salary footprint probably says we don't have to worry about him being here next year.

I suspect we see Jones/Choice/3rd string RB that realizes they have to play ST.
