When this guy started out behind Julius Jones he was my favorite player. Everyone was begging for him to start. Some claim he slouched after he got paid and others claim he was never the same after injury.

Either way.... I prefer to remember him as Marion the Barbarian. I feel so lucky to have been at this game. Both teams undefeated and I was sure we were on a SB run! What a beast! This kind of heart and effort is what the star stands for. Thanks for everything MB3! I will miss your hard runs!

He hasn't been a Barbarian for a while. I wish him luck with the Dolphins (I'm assuming). More than likely he'll continue to get stuffed at the LOS, or bounce to the outside for a gain of 1.

His body is shot and has been released as a result.

So Marion the Barbarian is now Marion the Libertarian??? ;)

Lets make this the dedication thread.

Thanks for everything Marion, you were a beast of man and ran harder than almost anyone I have seen. Thanks for the memories.

I second that. Thanks MArion! You may not have run smart, but you ran strong.

He was a beast, unfortunately RBs break down QUICK. And even quicker when they play like Barber did.

That run against the Patriots was one of the best plays I've ever seen at a live football game. Simply amazing.

Barber was a beast and I respect his hardnose style of play. I'll never forget saying to my friend during a Cowboys v Giants game, "If he scores here, I'm buying a Barber jersey tomorrow!" ......... 10 seconds later this happened:

Thanks for the memories #24. Good luck.

Running with reckless abandon and loving to hit does not make for a long career.

Great post.

He and RW31 have such similar careers in Dallas it's not even funny. Both were big and violent stars to start off their career. Both lost weight, lost their fire for some reason, and got released.

I'll never have a bad thing to say about either, I'll always be a fan. Good luck to MBIII.

that last run for a TD @ Arizona was to send us into OT

Clutch! Monster Play!

Let me ask you this...

RW31 is a free agent. Would you be opposed to bringing him back?

So true, and i have to add Colombo to that list, although we didnt draft him,he was a bad *** supreme and seeing him and MB3 gone the same year is sad.Good luck to them in the future and thanks for everything.:star:

Not me. I loved him but in the role he was in. I wanted a better starter than JuJo and for MB3 to remain as "The Closer".

He reminds me of a former Commander, BLANK Brown, who wore his self out quickly. Can't remember his first name.
