And Bruce Smith got those sacks primarily as a DE in a 3-4. Think about that for a minute.

I don't think he was the greatest pass rusher ever, but the guy was definitely top 10, if not top 5.

I take him on my team

He currently holds the record for most career sacks with 200 after surpassing Reggie White's record during the 2003 season.

11× Pro Bowl selection (1987, 1988, 1989, 1990, 1992, 1993, 1994, 1995, 1996, 1997, 1998)
9× First-Team All-Pro selection (1987, 1988, 1990, 1992, 1993, 1994, 1995, 1996, 1997)

NFL 1980s All-Decade Team
NFL 1990s All-Decade Team
AP Defensive Player of the Year (1990, 1996)
UPI AFC Defensive Player of the Year (1987, 1988, 1990, 1996)

All if not most of those records will fall to the wayside when Ware is done.

Bruce Smith was a beast....Period! Let's not forget that when you're a premier pass rusher, teams will always send help to your side. Whether it be a TE or RB. Dallas was no different in the two games that they faced him.

Would like to see Smith's stats in playoff games.

1988 -- Three sacks in two games
1989 -- Half a sack in one game
1990 -- One sack in three games
1991 -- One sack in three games
1992 -- 3.5 sacks in four games (one vs. Dallas in Super Bowl)
1993 -- Three sacks in three games
1995 -- No sacks in one game
1996 -- No sacks in one game
1998 -- No sacks in one game
1999 -- 2.5 sacks in one game

Playoff totals -- 14.5 sacks in 20 games

Just for a comparison, Charles Haley had 11 sacks in 21 career playoff games.

Good gravy. If I had known all of bruce's family posted here I would have left it alone.

I love the Cowboys, but I respect good football players too.

But Tuinei was very underrated. Loved his toughness and intensity.

Mark Tuinei is the only man who had the unique opportunity to play with both Emmitt Smith and Tony Dorsett in their primes (well, as far as I know).
