I apologize if this has already been discussed. He has made it apparent he will not re-sing with Seattle. Does Jerry make him an offer? The only reason im bringing this up is because I believe almost any RB can run behind this line. Demarco is great don't get me wrong, but his fumbles are really starting to irk me. Marshawn is a beast, and behind this OL would in my opinion destroy. Thoughts?

No thanks.

He will want to break the bank. His running style will have him ending up like Marion Barber real soon.

I don't even think Jerry gave this a thought.

He won't re-sign with Seattle...or Seattle doesn't want to re-sign him? I've heard it's the latter. If so, it really has to make you wonder how much of a distraction this guy is to get himself booted out of Seattle. Oh, and Murray is better and younger. So that too.

By the end of the season Lynch will have over 2000 career rushing attempts. That is a lot of mileage on a running back especially the way he runs.

Murray is better? How many fumbles does Lynch have in his career as opposed to Murray? And Lynch career has been much longer

Murray may break the bank too.

Hey may, but that is why he may not get signed. If the idea is to manage the cap, then it makes no sense to allow Murray to walk because he is to expensive, only to sign a guy who is also too expensive.

Lynch has fumbled 23 times in 111 games (2,083 touches). Murray has fumbled 12 times in 45 games (888 touches).

Assuming my math is right, that's .207 fumbles per game and .011 fumble per touch for Lynch. For Murray, it's .267 fumbles per game and .014 fumble per touch.

and he has'nt been as effective as he once was. i suspect thats why they are letting him go. i think the miles are way to high for the price. just sign murray or draft a new one

Lol at anyone who thinks Murray is better than Lynch. Watch him play. I would LOVE him in big D.

Lynch is on the downside. I have watched him play. THis year, he's a half step slow and not breaking the same number of tackles. Murray has better vision, is better as a catcher, and is faster.

I agree. He looks less effective this year.

The strange thing is that although Lynch has a lot of career attempts he really hasn't carried the ball a lot in any one season. The most carries he has had in a single season is 315. Emmitt Smith averaged 311 rushing attempts per season during his Dallas days. Lynch has only gone over 300 carries twice in his career and averages around 248 per season for his career.

Lynch has only averaged over 20 carries per game once in his career, which was his rookie season. He averages 16.8 rushing attempts per game for his career(17.8 in Seattle). DeMarco averages 16.6. People are concerned with the number of rushing attempts Murray is getting and they should be. Those same concerns should still apply for Lynch. He is older, already has a lot of carries on him and has never been asked to carry the ball as much as Murray is now. I have my doubts Lynch could sustain that type of usage at this stage in his career.

If Dallas can't re-sign or doesn't want to re-sign DeMarco then they should look elsewhere next season instead of Lynch.
