Hes 6'7" 260 w/ little body fat, a 35 inch vert and hes still only 21. If he applies himself, we can definitely trade him for a 2nd rounder in a few years

What 21 year old kids wants to be told what to do? IMO, I think it has more to do with being separated from his family for the first time. Sure he went to A&M, but his family was still in Texas. It's a lot different when you're about 2K miles away from your nearest relative. Trust me, I went through the same thing when I was first stationed in California in the Air Force. All of my family was back here in Texas.

I think we'll see a change once they're back home. Don't underestimate the effects of separation anxiety on a kid. I'm not trying to make excuses, but I would say that's part of what's going on with him. The way he's acted out over TC at Oxnard might have been his way of coping with it.

Bennett has a ton of upside, lets give him a year or 2 before talking about trading or cutting him. Im not exactly in love with his attitude but like many has said he is just a cocky 21 year old. He is going to mature and should develop into a nice compliment to Witten.

These guys aren't robots. Not everybody takes coaching or practice the same way. Give the guy a break. Why is everyone so concerned about the mental state of our rookie 3rd string TE? We have Witten!!!!

I think Bennett did some good things last night. He will be fine. Give him his 3 years according to BP.
Babe Laughenberg made a comment last night. About Witten will even tell you. He was not the same player in his first 6 games to what he is now.
