Same story with him only tonight he got called out on National Television as Gruden called his blocking effort "weak" and the hold "inexcusable".

That was a drive killer and reminded me of the type of things, culture wise, that Garrett is trying so hard to eliminate.

The thing that bothered me most was that he could have overpowered his defender and pushed him down the field regardless of where the run was going, but he was lazy and realized at the last minute he had to try and get his hands on him.

He just doesn't get it.

Not to mention the weak attempt he made to catch the fade in the end zone.

Not to mention, in the endzone, he didn't cut back to create distance between him and the defender. This guy is just a dumb football player.

I believe Gruden also said it was a bs penalty call when he saw the replay.. which is correct. It was ticky tack at best. Kind of thing that goes on every play. Bennett is a good blocker and didn't do anything wrong on that play.

It was a poorly thrown ball. Bennett had position in the back of the end zone if the ball would have been thrown up high, and it was thrown low and on a line, letting 5'9" CB make a play on it.

That pass also should have been higher. Romo threw a bad pass.

This. You have a 8 or 9" height advantage over the cornerback. Put it up a few feet over a basketball player's head and let him come down with the rebound.

I honestly don't know why the fade to Bennett in the end zone hasn't been worked on in practice and perfected since he's gotten here. The fade takes a lot of chemistry and timing between receiver and QB. It was a bad pass by Romo and Bennett just looked awkward going up for it.

I thought it was funny that Nagy did the very same thing(grabbed jersey and then let go) on the later big run by Felix, but the refs didn't call it.

Bennett is who he is. people need to stop waiting from some light to come on this late in his career. he is a good blocker and occasionally a passing threat.

the holding penalty was ticky tack especially compared to the skins non-calls. I had more of a problem with lack of attempt to come back to the ball on the throw in the endzone.

It won't matter. I've seen Romo throw high passes to him that he still couldn't come down with.

Jermichael Finley my arse.

Bennett is a decent blocker but a terrible receiver, another 2nd round pick i wish we had a do over on

I'm not excusing the officiating in the game but he clearly grabbed his jersey and stopped him from making a play and for anybody to let him off the hook by saying it wasn't a hold is accepting of a horrible effort.

Give me John Phillips, the poor move not to trade Bennett for a bonanza of a steal lingers, he is the Mike Williams of tight ends.

He grabbed the jersey for a second and then let go.. aka something that happens 3 times on every running play in the NFL.

I thought that was a weak holding call as well, especially considering some of that stuff that goes on and isn't called. Bennet as actually a fairly solid blocker and Dallas calls on to block on more than run patterns. Martellius in the EZ against a much smaller player, that ball has to higher and let Marty B. make the play. He had a huge height advantage and the ball just wasn't placed where it should have.

Garrett needs to try harder.

We had a chance to get our second rpunder back for him. We passed on it.

Bennett created a big hole for Felix to run through on the 40 yard gain in the 4th quarter.
