So the NFL network has been playing the hard knocks episodes from a few years back. Martellus Bennett's first year. It's so apparent how much of a slack *** he really was even in his first training camp. Slouching around, moving slow, mocking his coach when they try to get him going. Putting in 50% the whole damn time. God I can't stand that guy. I'm sure the giants are finding out how much of a ****** he is right now.

Also, I wish Danny amendola was still with us. Can't believe we let him go. He coulda been our Wes welker

Guess we'll find out this year. Personally, i don't think Phillips has half the talent that Bennett does. We should have thrown more passes his way, especially in the red zone.

Too bad Bennett gave half the effort.

He may have been more than a 6th OL had he actually put a little more in.

The problem is the guy has all the tools to be "that guy" and the coaching staff could see it. But he didn't want to work on his craft probably and I am assuming here, he always got by on his talent, size etc...etc until he reached the nfl level.

Maybe Cole Beasley will fullfill that role if he makes the team.

Half effort my butt.. not last season. He didn't give up on plays or take his role lightly. He can't throw the passes to himself. If you want to label him based on earlier in his career, be my guest. You arn't the only one.

Can't wait for our players to put a few good licks on Bennett come September 5th

I hope they heard his comments about kicking the Cowboys *****.
He was on Twitter saying, "I love Giants fans". If he doesn't produce, they will turn on him in a heartbeat.

Oh BS. You must be forgetting how many times the ball hit him and then hit the ground. I got sick of seeing it. Throw him more passes you say..... :laugh2: ]

Uhhhh no!

Oh ye of forgetfulness.

No thanks!

Yeah but back then quite a few people seemed to just want to label him as "immature" and claim he just needed a year or two under his belt before he'd be pushing Witten. So much for that mess.

Yeah, he lost me on hard knocks...first impressions.

Never understood the pick, definitely never understood the hype, other than the proverbial 'everyone loves the backup' which is rampant.

he'll break out this year he's no long 3rd string. Which he had decent stats being 3rd string. The year before last when he broke his leg in the hall of fame game made him miss a whole year. He would be even better than he is now!. He is really good i can see it in him. We'll just have to see though.
