Interesting, I imagine he will start strong and fade like every year. Pretty good pick up as Gronk insurance.

If they can get more O-line help, I'd say they are Super Bowl favorites for next year

Love this move for them. Low risk high reward. Gives them 2 legit receiving TE's. Also thought getting a former first round Guard and a 2nd for Jones, who is on the last year of his rookie deal, was smart. Especially with all the top end talent on the DLine in this years draft.

Man, that could be a heck of a thing to stop. very 2011-like for them, IF Bennett puts in 100% effort

I think they'll get at least one year of good behavior before he turns into a turd again. That seems to be his pattern.

But for 2016, that looks like a matchup nightmare.

He will be a free agent next season, so they may only have him for one year whether he is a turd or not.

Oh, so New England likely just gets him on his best behavior. Even better for them.

But at least we'll get to see what Witten/Bennett could have looked like if executed properly.

That really sucks and that is a great move for them. He is going to hate playing behind a superior TE again though haha.

Good move. I don't think Bennett is that great of a pass catcher. Never thought he was. He doesn't have the footwork for it. But, what he does well is block. So they can keep him in to block and have Gronk out mostly to catch. Then if there is a nice matchup problem where Bennett is just too big or just a little too fast for whomever is defending him, they can take advantage there as well. Still can't believe they got rid of Chandler Jones and are bringing in Bennett.

I'm going to watch more patriots games this year. I wonder if they will use MB in the same role like they did with Hernandez. Pats gameplan for every game and do not use the "1 size fits all" approach so MB may like that. From what I can tell MB doesn't like consistency/normal routines and will appreciate the creativity of the pats offense.

This is all speculation of course.
