Martellus Bennett

Me either!! Romo is special and he has the coaching, work ethic, drive, and talent around him to bring it out. We are in for a treat as he matures and grows...

I agree, he still has a LOT to learn and he knows it.

Bennett will be very good and I think in the next few years its going to be pick your poison just with the Tight Ends if we manage to get both of them out on the field at the same time.

If Felix Jones turns out to be an elite back, there is just not going to be enough balls to go around with this ultra stacked offense.

thanks for the kind words. i cant wait for sunday. it's gonna be great. im sure i'll be back to talk more about the game in the next few days.

31-28 browns. dawson kicks a field goal with 4 min remaining and the cowboys begin to drive down and they seem like there destined for a td and the lead and then romo gets picked off. place goes nuts and starts chanting pittsburgh sucks in anticaption for week2.

Browns have no experience in their corners, and basically no depth in the secondary. And the linebackers are average. Just don't see how a team that is loaded on d as the Cowboys are, will let the Browns score 31. While the Cowboys have pro bowlers all over on offense, yet can't get more than 28 on an inferior defense.

Cowboys 38 Browns 13.

Cbz, I agree with you. He does have all the physical tools, my only concern is his mental grasp of the game, etc.. Let's "hope" he justifies being a 2nd round pick for us.

I don't think Romo has hit the ceiling, but exploding infers shattering previous marks. I would be happy just to see him increase his product just some, but cutting way down on the bad passes.

If he put up Brady numbers....he will have 'exploded' IMO....and I don't think that is out of reach.

...but feel free to nitpick about my verb/adjective usage. ;)

Bennet has to show that he is mature enough. Still not there. Frankly too many are just seeing the physical side of things- you can have all talent in the world but you have to have it in your head as well.

The sky's the limit for Bennett. I feel that he's one of those special athletes who can do whatever they want in their sport, but only if they remain focus on being the best that they can be.
No doubt. The kid just oozes talent. The game looks so easy for him.

If he wants it and works at it, he can be very, very good.

Two things that come to mind about Martellus.

1) Everyone has said all along that Bennett needs to mature. Well, we've seen the start of that maturation process with our very own eyes on Hard Knocks.

2) It pumps me up that Garrett said in one of those meetings on Hard Knocks tonight that he absolutely felt like Bennett could get on the field against Cleveland. It excites me to think he might finally squeeze Curtis out of that No. 2 spot, and do it on his own merit and not just his draft status.

I don't think we're going to see Romo's numbers rise meteorically (in other words, explode) in any category.

But what I'm looking for as he continues to develop is to throw fewer interceptions, and thereby giving him a little nicer QB rating in the process.

If the Browns put of 31 points with all this talent and 1st rounders, Jerry will croak.

Yet isn't that the exact type of loss you could envision us taking if we lose this game?

This defense has a ton of potential. Just got to wonder when this unit will start making opponents fear it.

I think we'll see the Cleveland stadium emptying half way through the 4th quarter.

The more I see of this kid the more I like him. He's got speed, strength, size, blocks well, and catches it well. I know there has been some talk about 'body language' but this guy is talented.

I've esp been surprised by his blocking. I can't say much about his route running but he's getting open and catching the ball.

Wish I had some tidbit I could throw out there that's special but all I can say is I think this draft pick was spot on. Didn't steal him like Witten but I think he's still a bargain even in the second.

Ya, I agree there.
He is still learning, so he will get better.

I fully agree...this should be the yr that we really do put fear to opposing offenses. We have made significant upgrades,

Tank in rotation or starting nose tackle, also better equiped to use a 4 down lineman set.

Zach in the middle ,pure nastiness at point of attack, better coverage, and...attitude :)

Spencer Spencer Spencer, fast and a real playmaker in year two...

Roy Williams in less passing downs, will be fresher and seems motivated, alowing a better cover corner to play.

The addition of A, Jones ,Ist rd pick Jenkins and 5th rd Sandrick ,and best of all cutting Reeves hehehe. I see QBs double clutching and running for thier lives...

Yr two in Wade's D . better secondary coverage ,allowing more blitzing

I.m pumped up ,Let's get in thier heads and close games early...........:starspin

You're joking, right? Witten has never even scored 8 TDs in a season.

I agree it is a stupid comment. Only 2 TE last year did and both were starting TE and yet Bennett a rookie whose role will not be that of a starter but one of situational coming off the bench is being expected to have 8 or more TD in a season? Make you wonder what some are thinking
