Martin this generation's LA

LA was a STUD wherever he lined up, I think Martin could be the same...

Los Angels was a stud. Yes I know you meant Larry Allen but I find it funny that you use initials for Allen but you can write out Martin. Was writing Larry Allen to hard for you? This isn't meant as a big put down on you, I find it funny.

Did you read his post? He commented on the poster saying Martin was the best on the team......
Yes best all around player... which he is. Not just my opinion but all around consensus.

Not most important.

I think he's already a top 5 lineman our franchise's history. I have Tyrone in the top 5 as well.

I mean that's your opinion I'm not arguing against it but what the poster was saying is Dak plays a harder position. I personally don't think you can compare the two. Its much easier to play guard in the NFL than it is to play quarterback so I can't say a guard is better than a good quarterback.

Which is true. If Martin and Dak were closer in terms of performance and accolades then of course you would give Dak the nod because he plays a harder position. That I agree with

The problem is they're not even close in terms of accolades. Martin is on pace to make 1st team all decade for two different decades. Dak sits around all December waiting for a QB to get injured so he can get a pro bowl alternate spot...... (I like Dak and actually hope they resign him but they're not on the same level even with the bias towards QBs)
Like I said above....its much easier to play guard than it is quarterback. Not taking anything away from Martin. Hard to gauge a guard v quarterback IMO.

When it's a generational once every 15 years type guard then yeah there shouldn't be much issue saying it's better than a solid QB.

Especially considering the biggest obstacle QBs have over guard is being more reliant on supporting cast, that's not something Dak has lacked (his situation was better than 90% of the QBs coming out of college)

He's also the best pass blocker on the team

I like Terrence Steele as a developmental OT but right now Zack Martin is a better run blocker and pass pro blocker than Steele. Zach Martin is also a better brain surgeon now than Steele is a pass blocker.

Ehhh......I won't go that far. He had a very good offensive line no doubt and a very good running back in Zeke.....but most of those guys he came into with in 2016 are either retired by now or fell off.

Blasphemous but Zack is a better technician than LA was. And yes I believe could play bowl level anywhere on the line and all pro at most. You are watching a future HOFer.

Disrespectful. Not even in the same zip code as LA. That's how good LA was.

I love Martin but he is no LA. Not s knock on a knock on Martin. Martin is special. But LA is arguably the best ever
Einstein was smart enough to add the disclaimer "This generation". We all know this generation is so screwed...mainly because of our generation.
