Marty B is the new Choice.

Don't get me wrong, I love Marty B as a blocker, and even as a receiver on some underneath stuff when he's open, but the way we're trying to get him the ball on offense is crazy to me. It's just like trying to get Choice on the field by using the wildcat. Ever since we drafted him everybody has talked about what a weapon Bennett can be. All I see is a decently athletic tight end with very average hands.

On a team that has Miles Austin, Roy Williams, Jason Witten, Dez Bryant, and Felix Jones out of the backfield to eat up the 25-35 passes a game you want to throw, forgive me if I'm not trying to throw it downfield to a guy who the team desperately wants to be Antonio Gates but really hasn't proven anything. It may not be the most pressing issue we have, but I think our offense would benefit greatly from running more plays to the proven weapons we have, instead of trying to create a new one by forcing it.

I couldn't agree more. Yeah, if he is wide open that's fine. And yes, there may be times when he has a match-up advantage. But he's not exactly a priority for me, and he shouldn't be for the team.

He's ins't. Austin, Witten, Roy and Bryant are all targeted more than Bennett.

You are correct. He's the fifth option and has the fifth-most catches, which sounds about right to me. He also has caught 72 percent of the passes thrown to him. You might say we threw him the ball too many times against Chicago, but other than that, I don't see the problem.

Throwing him the ball even a few times a game is too much for what he's shown in my opinion. My point is just that I think if we throw it to him 3 times a game, we would've gotten better mileage out of throwing those balls to one of the top 3 wideouts, or even Felix out of the backfield, which we do not utilize even close to enough in that way.

Just to clarify, I don't have a problem with how the team is using Bennett. I was just agreeing that he shouldn't be a priority, and he probably never will be here, despite the protests of some who think he should be the next Jermichael Finley.
