No doubt. The better team lost today. No doubt the better coach won today. But for me, Bill B. is one of the best ever and is certainly the best in the game today.

Marty isn't the be all end all..............I only pose the question...........Manboobs or Martyheimer and I'm going with the latter IMO/FWIW.

I would agree with that

ultimately you are probably going nowhere with either one, but at least we'd probably have better OL and defense play under MS

A terrible challenge to lose a time out, followed by two ill-advised time outs causing the Chargers to have to kick a 54 yarder. Excellent.

Does anybody have access to the Chargers fans forum? I want to know what people are saying about Marty right now. Please share the website, or better yet, share the quality posts.

Marty didn't drop the passes in the first half that Parker did. Marty didn't not frag his right foot on a perfectly throw TD pass in the 4th quarter. Marty didn't fumble a 4TH AND 5 pass and more than likely, game over pick and give it right back to the Patriots with 6 to go in the 4th. AND Marty didn't fumble on the one yard line back in the day, Byner did.

Agreed. I think Marty would have left us in a better position upon departure.

It irks me beyond description that after 4 years of Manboobs we are
still talking of the need to seriously upgrade our OL and DL...........PATHETIC.

as far as i know, i wouldnt be complaining after a 14-2 season........even if we didnt win the SB..

As far as I know, regular seasons don't win championships, playoff performances do!

haha blame that game on the coordinators.

Marty turned it over to them.

Playcalling wasnt their problem.

What ever happened to just getting beat? Everyones gotta point fingers now days when someone loses.

San Diego just got BEAT.

Yep. Fair and square. It was not a case of the old Marty ball. Not even close. San Diego played their game and lost......barely. Great game, even though I'd like to see someone other than NE in the SB. GO INDY!!!!

You can cite this excuse in any game. There is never a game that a person couldn't easily point to mistakes that players made. There is not a game that has sole evidence indicating a coach lost a game. And if you think you can find me one, I can easily show you a fumble, a missed field goal or some other mistake a player made and simply blame the player and not the coach.

Marty didn't lose this game. The players did. That being said, the Chargers' defense was lackluster today which Marty has a great deal of control over. We know Cameron calls the offense but the Marty actually has a lot of say in regards to the defense. Tom Brady's last minute drive at the end of the second quarter was unacceptable.

The reality is that Marty has great success in the regular season and chokes in the playoffs. When you repeat this type of pattern, it's not longer attributed to luck. This is a trend and Marty is ultimately responsible.

I wouldn't be suprised if he is fired.

Was a trend. Years previous Marty set himself up to fail in big games. Today they played their style of FB, went toe to toe with a very good team and lost. He handed the keys to his athletes and they almost pulled it off. Awesome slugfest. I saw bodies flying all day. Especially at the LOS.

I guess you now know the degree with which I hate Manboobs.

It's more a reflection of my dislike for him than it is for any admiration I have for Martyheimer.

Parcells is a better coach than Schottenheimer. If Marty was here, we probably wouldn't make the playoffs.

Look let's be honest, Manboobs didn't lose the game to the Seahawks. That was a fluke loss because our QB fumbled the snap. Granted we would have probably lost to the Bears. Schottenheimers decisions had more of a direct impact on their loss today than any of Parcells' decisions last Saturday.

I'm not a fan of Manboobs but to suggest that Schottenheimer is better is pathetic.

More like they lost than got beat, after all they gave the game away on the punt and the fumble on the interception.

The only difference was Marty was conservative on defense as opposed to typically being conservative on offense. They were so afraid of giving up big plays that they allowed Brady to score on a final drive before the half by playing that soft zone. That is ONE example.

Marty is a very good coach. The challenge was foolish but let's face it, that guy has had some SERIOUS bad luck along the way.

He's a solid head coach and I would take him in 2 seconds before Manboobs.

I would take alot of their front 7 people, in fact, I would trade everyone except for Ware, for San Diego's defensive front 7

I'm going to go out on a limb here and say Marty's job is in jeopardy.
