I grew up with it also my grandpa who was a great man sort of famous in my city because of his construction company. Punched my grandma once while they were in bed at night because he thought he was back in war (He was in WW2) chased us out of the house with a fireplace poker, ran off multiple times at night, left my grandma at the grocery store just drove off left her there. It's one of the saddest diseases because your mind just doesn't work right anymore. I feel for Marty.

He's only 73. I thought he'd be older than that at this point. Terrible.

On the flip side, they're not far from being able to do some pretty great things unraveling Alzheimers. Hopefully there will be effective treatment options available before too long.

Can't say that I was a particularly big fan of Schottenheimer as a game day coach, but I always admired his passion and his ability to instill a physical culture with his teams. It's very sad to hear of this - to listen to him speak about football was always enlightening. I hope that they can figure out a way to eliminate this disease - to watch someone go through it is heart breaking.

Horrible disease. The person's personality dies before their body. My grandfather suffered from it. Hopefully someone finds a cure soon.
