Ok. I think that they are overloading the superhero concept.

With that said... did I just see a redhead with long hair just whip soneone with her hair in a commercial?

I just went from zero interest to..... interested!

Did not look good to me but I'm interested just to see how they handle a main character that cannot speak without leveling cities. Works in a medium like comics and books. TV...have to see. Reviews have been brutal. I do like the actor in this who played Ramsay Bolton in GoT and was also in Misfits. Good get with him.

I think I've also hit my threshold on superhero shows. Agents of Shield is my one from broadcast tv and that's more sci-fi spy vs spy these days.

Not sure why they decided to go with the Inhumans.

Personally I think it would have been interesting to see Alpha Flight instead...even if they are up in the great white north Eh.

Television budgets and time constraints put a strain on believable CGI made for the small screen. In my opinion, television audiences see a certain level cheezy effects according to how much money and effort is devoted per episode (e.g. larger episode budgets usually equal better CGI, smaller budgets usually equal less quality CGI).

Storylines and acting will play major roles in how well this series will be received. However, visuals will play a major part in its believability if ABC/Marvel stays true to the characters. This is not The CW or The SYFY Channel. It is one of the four major broadcast networks with the deep pockets to invest in movie-type quality CGI.

It would be in ABC's best interest for the CGI effort to be a tier better than what has been seen on Marvel's Agents Of Shield thus far, whose CGI work ranks as solid B+ quality in my book. Even though that grade is better than, say, the ones I have for The CW superhero series lineup, the visuals could be better. That would work in the favor of translating the powers and abilities of The Inhumans much better for audiences.

The commercials I've seen make the show look truly awful.

The guy behind Iron Fist (which was almost universally hated by fans and critics) is also behind The Inhumans.

    That does not inspire confidence.

It would not surprise me if the rights to Alpha Flight belong to 20th Century Fox--just like the X-Men.

it would have flowed better and they could have gone "young" with wolverine again and rebooted the character.

If you're really interested, read up on Marvel's Ike Perlmutter.

This was one of his big pushes. Along with thinking that Robert Downey Jr. "Wasn't worth the money."

This property is part of the reason Perlmutter isn't involved in the movies anymore and why Feige was able to get away from him.

The egg from this one is on Ike's face.

Because Fox owns the film rights to what was once Marvel's cash cow, the X-Men. That's a big reason why it's focused on the Avengers now.

This is coming from an Avengers comic book fan.

Years ago, everything had an "X" on it. The amount of X-Men books published each month was insane. But as they've transitioned into films, the properties that Marvel doesn't own the film rights for have taken a backseat like the X-Men, or been phased out entirely like the Fatnastic Four.

Since they didn't have X-Men, they've tried to use Inhumans as a substitute. This was oringinally part of their Cinematic release schedule, but was instead transitioned to TV. Word is that the change was a result of the real conflicts between Feige and Perlmutter and a big reason why Perlmutter isn't in charge of Marvel Cinema anymore. Word is he drove Joss Whedon away too.

Well, that was horrible. It looked cheaply done. Everything was so bland.

Started wathcing episode 1, after 10 minutes stopped. X-Men rip off at its worst. And why would I want to watch a chick with long red hair in a 5 min makeout season in bed, picking up things with her hair. Beyond stupid.

Not sure what this means. I like the story line but some episodes suck and at times the acting is marginal. I'm hoping it gets better but I have doubts.

My disdain for Shannnnara is legion. Made it a hard act to like even in the tv version.

The storyline is great IMO but they did it poorly. Doesn't surprise me considering the likely budget they had.

    Good god it was poor.

Wish they would make a Galactus and his heralds show. Maybe with the surfer, nova, terrax, etc
