Winter Solider!!! If you've read the story arc, you'd be excited too. :D

From Modern Myth Media:

Collider has a detailed report of Marvel’s SDCC 2012 panel, which is worth a read. The big announcements, though, were the confirmation of “Guardians of the Galaxy” and the official titles for the “Thor” and “Captain America” sequels. See Marvel Studios’ complete 2013 and 2014 film lineup below.

“Iron Man 3″ (May 3, 2013)
“Thor: The Dark World” (November 8, 2013)
“Captain America: The Winter Solider” (April 4, 2014)
“Guardians of the Galaxy” (August 1, 2014)

If you hear loud cheering, it’s not from San Diego. It’s from MMM Gentlemen Chris Clow who, like many Cap fans, is sure to be ecstatic that the famed Ed Brubaker “Winter Solider” story arc will, at least in some way, arrive on the silver screen. Credit Marvel Studios for once again blowing the roof off of Hall H.

I used to buy this title YEARS ago and loved it. This was pre-1985 or so.

It wasn't one of the more popular titles, but I thought the team had unique characters
with very interesting powers and abilities. I wonder if Marvel has re-envisioned
the title since I last read it?

Anyway, I'll definitely put it on my list of must-sees. I must hand it to Marvel
Comics and its Marvel Studios. Even accounting for the enormous success of
the Dark Knight films, Marvel has absolutely buried DC Comics on the big screen.
It's not even remotely funny anymore, but it is incredibly sad for this
comic book fan to witness.

Say..? I wonder if Marvel has considered resurrecting THIS character?

If they ever bring the wielder of the cosmic nega-bands to the big screen, I
would be absolutely beside myself.

I can't say I really excited for Antman, but I will give it a shot. As for the Guardians of the Galaxy, I have no clue what that is, but I will still watch it. Thor on the other hand, better be wayyyyyy better than the 1st movie. That one seemed like a filler movie, whereas Captain America was an actual good movie. Those might be in the Hulk category, IMO. He needs to have another character in a movie with him.

I thought about offering my recollection of the Guardians of the Galaxy, but did a Wikipedia search instead and think its summation would be much better than mine:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Guardians_of_the_Galaxy_(1969_team)

It has a link to the "2008" team, which I'm unfamiliar with. From what I read, I would still prefer if they brought the older version to the big screen instead of the more recent incarnation, but that's just me. :)

I felt like Cap was much more of a "filler" or a basic prologue than the other movies in the Marvel Universe. Not much of a story arc, and a terribly ineffective villain. Thor wasn't great though either.

Guardians of the Galaxy = Avengers 2? Or is it something else? I'm not familiar with it.

SUPER excited for Iron Man 3.

Interesting to see how much differently people view movies.

Captain America was just awful, and I'm not comparing it to the comics at all. If the next one has the same director there is 0 chance I will watch it. There are so many problems with it from a movie standpoint, and so much about that movie was just lazy for the budget it had. I won't even go into how horrible the plot and villain were.

Excited about Ironman 3 I suppose. The first one was fantastic, the second one wasn't awful, but had some horrible movie elements. Stupid stuff that is just lazy as heck and annoys me with movies, like explosions that blow up rooms in earlier scenes, going off next to peoples faces in later scenes.. and them still having faces.

Thor was decent, but got kind of boring during the middle, and felt super rushed. Thor was outcast and redeemed in what seemed like 2 days, and he's an entirely different person now? The "love" story also felt super forced and was simply not needed.

I'd personally just like to see a movie named "Odin" starring Anthony Hopkins, would be epic.

As for Antman.. Such a boring hero, hopefully that movie wont' be as awful as I expect. He's a hard sell.

Still waiting for a good Hulk movie, I don't see why it's so hard. The Edward Norton one wasn't bad.. it just wasn't really great.

Need to build towards Word War Hulk, one of the greatest Marvel Collaborations and comic lines ever.

lol at the non comics fans. :)

Be happy if you found the The Avengers movie entertaining with the heroes Marvel threw together. When the group originally assembled in the comic book title, there wasn't any Captain America, Hawkeye or Black Widow.

Scarlet Johansson looked REALLY good in the Widow uniform though... :cunning:

Anyhoo, the original group DID include Ant-Man and his wife, a.k.a. The Wasp. I hope that some will not judge the new heroes (who are actually some of the oldest characters in the Marvel Comics universe) before seeing how they're transferred to film. They might surprise you. ;)

now that avengers has been made, other than iron man 3 none of these movies like antman or capt america will cut the mustard

my favorite all time were X-Men (already being made), Avengers (already being made) and Defenders (doc strange, silver surfer, namor, hulk etc)

would love to see Defenders being made to set up the (in my opinion) best all time epic battle for the "Evil eyes" : Avengers vs Defenders

I would really like for 20th Century Fox to lose their right to the X-Men franchise, and have it go to Marvel Studios. ...same with Spider-Man....Sony needs to lose that franchise as well.
