Because Mason Rudolph isn't going to win more games that Rush. Rush at least has three years in the system. Pay a bunch of money for a guy that is third tier to replace another third tier guy?

Lordy, just bring up Grier, play hard and hope for the best.

That's another opinion, and a defensible one.

But no reason for calling in the mods or shutting down a thread.

Why? Baker is a good backup. I don’t think he ego would have survived Dallas but I want to win.
Win? Win what? He couldn’t even beat the Jacoby Brisset led Browns yesterday, even after they tried to give him the game playing prevent. Diggs is going to want to get paid after this season, Parsons the year after… I’d rather use the 5 million for that than a massive bust the Browns paid 10m to get rid of!

IMO cheapest available option with any hope of catching lightning in a bottle for two months. Worth a dice roll.

No way SF trades JimmyG here (esp after Fields' performance yesterday); and that price would be prohibitive even if they would.
you cant judge Fields performance in Hurricane rain

Bum.. That is all.

No one is saying that Rudolph is a star, but if a slight competence upgrade could squeeze just one or two more wins out of this stretch it could mean the difference between finding their way into the playoffs and crashing and burning by the end of October. Remember, with three WCs now a lousy team with a very pedestrian record is going to make the NFC postseason. No reason why it still can't be Dallas -- and they would not be the typical 7-seed if Dak is back and playing well.

If your preference is to flame out and max draft position, then that makes little sense of course.

But once you are in anything can happen -- just ask Eli.

Plus Jerry isn't getting any younger, and he probably wants to make a go of it in what is almost certainly Zeke's last year in Dallas.

Playoffs? Bwaahaaaahaa. Ok I will play your game. What did the first three quarters of last night's game tell you? Don't know if it is delusion or denial but it runs deep.

I hate to be that guy but when I heard that Baker was gonna be traded, I thought we should have taken a flyer.

I don't think this is the "I told you so" that you seem to think it is. Baker got booed in his first Carolina game. He'll get snarky (again) soon and wear out his welcome (again).

The first FOUR quarters last night showed me that this team is still a work in progress, is at the moment light years behind TB12 and TB, and lost one game in a seventeen game season.

I don't think any team that played yesterday has yet become what they will ultimately be -- that usually takes a month or so at least to shake out -- and it is a long, long season. Do you really think that over the long haul the Giants will end up with a better record than Tenn? That the Chiefs will blow out everyone like they did AZ? That GB will put up bubkas all year?

Not a basis alone to throw in the towel before the leaves even turn, let alone fall off the trees.

Nope, he sucks. Besides just let this season go how it's going to go with what they got.
