The demo was released yesterday and it has beyond exceeded my expectations. I can not wait for this release.

Anyone else pumped for this game?

There is definately an upgrade over the last 2 which were already really good. I've played the demo a few times now and can't wait to pick it up. It will be the first game I've bought since Gears of War 3 I gamefly everything else.

Pre-ordered the Collector's Edition (or is it Reaper's Edition) about six months ago. Currently running through another play through of ME2 in preparation. I'll be at gamestop with my N7 hoodie and t-shirt on to pick up the game.

I've never been a demo guy and I don't plan on downloading this one. I'd rather save all the surprise for when the game comes out.

I've been following all the BioWare people on twitter and it is a blast. Casey Hudson has answered a couple of my questions and retweeted me.

Mass Effect is by far my favorite video game series of all time.

Is there going to be MP?

And if so, will there be the option of having a FPS mode only?

3rd person perspective in multiplayer doesn't appeal to me at all.

Yep there is multiplayer.

I know that during single player there is an "Action" only mode for those that just like to shoot, makes the game play similar to Gears of War and all dialog becomes cut scenes.

Mass Effect is certainly my favorite video game series of all time. Along with Assassins Creed they have the two most interesting storylines in video games. 2007 was quite the year for gaming retrospectively.

Yep agree, both excellent games, i'm also looking forward to this release.

Skyrim is incredible as well, playing the heck out of it.

Full cinematic trailer premiered on The Walking Dead tonight. Should be made available online soon. I'll post it when I have a chance.

I've never played any of these. I've never had anyone bring these games up to me. What are they about? What's so amazing about them that would make someone who knows absolutely nothing about them go out and buy one?

I've only had my XBox for just under 2 years now and I've honestly never had anyone mention these games to me.

I was told all about Assassians Creed, Fall Out, and Gears of War, and of course Call of Duty but never anything on this one.

So if anyone would be so kind as to give me some reasons as to why you like the game, what makes it a great buy for a person, I'd appreciate it.

This is the first time I've played ME also.

How do you open the half-open door in the demo?

I've played trough 1 and 2 more times then i can count they're the only 2 games i have a full 100% completion on out of everything i've played. Not gonna bother with the demo I already know i'm getting it, had it on pre order for 8 months now

Unless you played and liked the first 2 it's hard to really say why you need to get 3, if you're curious about ME then get the first 2 they're dirt cheap now.
Once you get sucked into the ME story and universe you'll know what the big deal about ME3 is.

Since your character and choices carry over from game to game i don't recommend starting with ME3 you'd be missing out on far to much

Cool. I may just look into picking up the first one then and seeing how I like it.
