I've only had my XBox for just under 2 years now and I've honestly never had anyone mention these games to me.
I was told all about Assassians Creed, Fall Out, and Gears of War, and of course Call of Duty but never anything on this one.
So if anyone would be so kind as to give me some reasons as to why you like the game, what makes it a great buy for a person, I'd appreciate it.
The greatest thing about Mass Effect is the story. BioWare specializes and does an excellent job in making an intricate, customizable, chill inducing story. For Mass Effect, they created an all new sci-fi universe that is extremely deep and all encompassing. It truly is the best new from scratch sci-fi universe created, in my opinion, since Star Wars and Star Trek. The way we feel about Klingons and Wookies are the same way you'll feel about Mass Effect's Turians and Krogans.
It is an action RPG. Decisions you make have consequences down the road unlike any other game. It is truly the first franchise where a decision you made in the first game will have an effect on what happens in the third. If you're an *** to some random guy that asks for help, it might come up and bite you in the *** later. If you fail to win the affections of one of your crew, the final mission might not work out so well for them.
I've shown this game to a few of my friends and a couple of them didn't like it because they got a little bored with it at the beginning. It can be a little bit slow at first if all you like is Call of Duty and constant fast paced action. ME has detailed conversations and you spend some time going to places, but it also has tons of action. It's much fast paced than say, Fallout or Skyrim, which I personally did not enjoy playing too much.
Graphics-wise it's probably among the most realistic I've come across. They really do a top notch job quality-wise.
I would suggest strongly that you start out with ME1 and ME2 in order to get the full feel of it and so you can fall in love with your character and your crew. It really makes going into ME3 that much more special.
