I can't believe some one looks good in a Highlight video. I bet he would look like veal in a low light video.

Anyways, he is a good player but is over rated. Can take bad angles at time and over persue. Also don't like that he tries to just hit the ball carrier besides wrapping up. All things you can coach and fix and I do like him.

But you have to understand, everyone looks great in highlights.

He will have a long career for sure. I pike him a lot just wish he wouldnt be such a head hunter and fly around so much. I watch all the sec games and have seen every Florida game for years. I have always like Elam but I have seen his lows and highs and know his weaknesses. But he his a hell of a ball player and I would love to have a star on his helmet.
 
He looks very stiff, slow in his turn and doesn't wrap up.

looool ! he will be an all pro . we have guys that shouldnt even be employed. elam is the next ed reed.
 
This is one heck of a player.

Florida looked terrible in the Bowl Game... EXCEPT Matt Elam. He made plays non-stop.

This is a great get in round 2.

from one extreme to the other... lol.

elam is nothing like er reed.

he is very much like a seahag DB who both can cover and can really hit.

but he isn't a once in a generation ballhawk like ed reed.
 
He is one of those players that will fall only because of his size. With that said, he makes up for size by being an absolute beast on the field laying shots on anyone he sees. Everything about him that you want in an NFL safety is there.
 
It is his coverage skills that will keep him off of our roster I think. We really need a safety, and in some peoples opinion two, that can cover.
 
I'd take him round 2. Forget vacarro. Elam has swag that we need.
 
He covers slot receivers guys, his coverage skills are just fine. Plus he looks like someone who actually makes plays unlike all our defensive backs.

I'm sure we won't draft him because he makes interceptions. One of the most important concepts of Rob Ryan's defensive scheme is to ensure there are no turnovers.

Cover skills are not as good as other safetys available.
 
You mean Vaccaro and Reid? come on man elam is going to be the first safety taken and i would love for my boys to get him.
 
I would love to get him in the second round..plays with a swagger we need on this defense..he would upgrade the position from day one
