Yes they are, Broaddus also says that this guy can cover in the slot.

When he was interviewed by the media he said most of his picks came from playing FS in their base cover 2 or cover 4 defense.

His knocks are his backpedal but that is something that can be coached.

Probably pushes Church or McCray, possibly Sensabaugh if he can develop in year.

He looks like a guy that would have a little built in aggression -- like he's constantly pissed off. I wonder if that translates to the field. With his explosiveness, even he's an aggressive type, he'd do well immediately in coverage teams.

If I'm not mistaken he was also the most athletic out of most top safeties in this draft, except Mark Barron

It's pretty comical how guys are already labeling prospects as a bust.

Wouldn't that be something if they uncovered a player here.

Ideally, I would have liked to get him in the 7th, or 6th at the earliest.
But maybe the beef (from me too) about them taking him so early will become irrelevant. And who is to say someone else didn't see what they saw.

I agree, the small smaple of game and other tape I've looks promising. I swear, he doesn't look a whole lot different than Harrison Smith. HarrisonSmith-lite maybe?

I preferred Iloka, but could be very wrong.

I know most of all we want guys to come in and complete. I'm worried about our Oline and Dline overall, but time will tell.

Was just listening to the phone call between Garrett and Matt when he was picked. Garrett said they were anxious because they thought a few other teams were going to pick him before our pick, but were excited he fell. So, they think others had him rated similarly.
