Matt Johnson?

This is what he said "Best way to evaluate for stress changes is on MRI. We see bone marrow edema. We usually stage it. Stage one is just some edema anterior to the bone, usually the tibia. Stage Two is bone marrow edema on T-2 weighted images, stage III is bone marrow edema on T2 and T1 weighted images, which is less sensitive for bony changes/edema. Stay 4 is a discrete fracture

You can also get a bone scan which can be sensitive for stress changes. If it is particular bad you can see i discrete fracture on x-ray."

Hopefully that provides a little context. He reads the scans for the Dallas mavericks.

Good info but I was under the impression that it was a foot injury.

Could be wrong, have been out of the loop for a bit.

You're correct, it is a foot injury. When I asked the doctor for info about it, I didn't specify that it was a foot injury. I just asked him how he determines pre-stress fractures in general.

he's out for the remainder of the preseason. dont even ask me how

I tried to tell you all a month ago. Bu bu but let him adapt to the NFL! We're gonna be buying his jerseys this year! Should've cut this scrub when they had the chance.
