There is grumblings that if Warner signs an extension Leinart will ask for a trade. I'm curious as to what some of you might be willing to give up for him? If he wants to be a starter I doubt Dallas would be an option but what do you think a team like KC, NY Jets or Detroit might be willing to part with?

If true I could see Detroit sending the 1st rounder they got from Dallas to Arizona for him but is that too much? For a team looking for a QB for next year or two years down the road I can't see his value being much more then a 2nd or 3rd.

I think the Vikings might fall over themselves at the opportunity, I think the Lions would rather draft a guy that get Matt based on what he's shown so far.

I wouldn't give an autographed Julius Jones jersey for him. He's lazy, has a weak arm, and isn't a leader. As he's proven in Arizona.

We already have one semi-celebrity QB... All we need is a real one as a backup.

In a trade, nothing. You'd have to give up a pick that is probably too high for him and you'd have to pay him his deal (Although you wouldn't have to deal with any bonus money stuff so that part probably wouldn't be as bad).

So far in Arizona he's shown nothing to make me believe he'd be worth having here, even as a backup.

A ham sandwich. He's a typical fat cat athlete. He got paid, laid, and swayed to the idea that he's entitled to being coddled.

Matt Leinart = JP Losman... More interested in being Hollywood than being a NFL QB...

Explain to me again how he would demand to be traded to a team where he had a shot to start so that he could be traded to a tam where he has no shot to start?

Hos, I don't think Leinart would have ever been a good QB, not enough arm or brains, and lazy (the worst trait for a pop athlete). Pennington doesn't have an arm but the guy finalist for the Rhodes Scholarship. Better not be a Boar's Head sandwich.

Leinart did run a 4.58 though.

He's a fat cat athlete. It isn't about learning the game and playing your best like Warner. For him it's about flashbulbs and beer bongs.

He could only WISH to run a 4.58.
You forgot to add bimbo's to his list.

Yeah, but I like bimbos and so it was my agenda sneaking through again.

I'm not sure why Arizona would be willing to deal Leinhart, with Warner nearing the end of his career. Leinhart might ask for a trade, but I doubt anyone is going to be willing to part with much for him.

If Todd Haly didn't at least inquire about him (assuming he asked for a trade)that would say a lot. As his Offensive Coordinator in AZ Haley should have a good feel for what kind of QB Leinart can be. Kansas City desperately needs QB help.

I'd give them Terrell Owens and Bobby Carpenter for Leinart and Boldin. :D

Hey you asked what I would give up, not what the Cards would be willing to do.

Unimaginable that Leinart could be so selfish as to demand a trade to start... He should be about sacrificing for the team, just in case Warner goes down, he can back him up...
