28.
The Pick: Cornerback Tre'Davious White, LSU

After letting Brandon Carr, Morris Clairborne, J.J. Wilcox and Barry Church walk in free agency, it's safe to say the Dallas Cowboys will address the secondary in the first round. LSU's Tre'Davious White is an excellent fit from a skill, value and leadership perspective.

He is a quick, sticky, solid cover man who may never be a perennial Pro Bowler but has the skills to be a rock-solid lockdown outside corner. He's also one of the highest-character players in the entire draft class and was honored with the No. 18 jersey (awarded for leadership) at LSU the last two seasons.

60. Derek Rivers, DE, Youngstown State
92. Josh Malone, WR, Tennessee
133. Jeremy Sprinkle, TE, Arkansas
211. Nate Gerry, S, Nebraska
228. Matt Milano, OLB, Boston College
246. Elijah Hood, RB, North Carolina

I am not a fan of Jackson at 28.

But shoot, I'd rather he be the pick at 28 than White.

Seeing Mayock and now Miller stick us with White has made me really feel more comfortable with Jackson.

Sad but true. Taking White at pick 28 would make me feel like I was violated somehow.

Not feeling White.

Rather go with Tankersley or Griffin in the 2nd/3rd over White in the first.

2 first picks I could live with ,I'm Ok with Malone in the 3rd,but Sprinkle is an idiot,Gerry we don't need another token at safety,Milano is a midget and most likely special teams only ,and Hood has no speed for the NFL.

Watt, McKinley, & even McDowell drafted after White.
Also, the idea that Rivers will be available at 60 is also unlikely.

Don't get cute.
In the 1st round, give me an impact game-changer over a gloried CB.

We need edge early. Even if D Law has a bounce back season, he is a free agent next year.

The looks of things is that of the teams that pick behind Dallas could all take an edge rusher. Green Bay, Pittsburgh, Atlanta and the Saints will be looking.

It would really be a mistake to assume that a good enough player makes it to 60.

It is not that hard. If we drafted right after the Green Bay game, we would have taken a pass rusher.

This is a seven round draft and if you feel the secondary players were all replaceable, there is no need not to work the numerical advantage of the prospects in this draft.

It might be a good DL class, but it is not full of talent through three or four rounds. That is insane to assume.
