12. Dallas Cowboys

Miller's pick prediction: Mansoor Delane, CB, LSU

The Cowboys could be aggressive in trading up -- that rumor hasn't gone away -- and it sounded as if they were willing to package both first-round picks in order to make a super-bold move up the board for one of the top defenders. As I've heard it, the Cowboys don't consider Bain one of them based on the team's move to a 3-4 scheme. That leaves them in play for a corner, and in talking to teams and agents during the predraft process, Delane's range to come off the board is anywhere between No. 7 and this pick.

Fowler's intel: Dallas is monitoring a trade market that has been quiet so far. The Cowboys are comfortable staying put at Nos. 12 and 20 if need be because they feel they can get impact players at both picks, per a team source. Whether they can get a true blue-chip defensive player at 12 is the question, as this draft is short on them. If the Cowboys do move up, some league scouts believe Styles would be a possible target. At receiver, Dallas has a high grade on Tyson.

I'm starting to think Styles could drop to 12. Hell, Quinn is on the hot seat.....find it hard to believe they would let him pick an MLBer this high over getting more help for Daniel.

Fowler's intel: Teams I've talked to believe Styles would be a dream Dan Quinn pick, but they also wonder whether the Commanders are leaning offense. Wide receiver Carnell Tate (Ohio State) is a popular name here, and Washington has spent a lot of time with him.

Chances of style dropping out of the top 10 according to betting odds are incredibly low. Like single digit % low.

This could be true but I can't find a landing spot for him if the Commanders pass.......only leaves the Saints, Chiefs and Giants. The Saints and Chiefs have solid starting MLBers. Word is the Giants won't use both top picks on defense and they prefer Downs over Styles. We will see.....

BTW.......one blogger suggested Quinn would use Styles similar to Parsons. Not sure if that's possible

Yeah , if the commanders pass

Meanwhile he’s in play at every pick from 4 to 7. So it’s not likely they all pass

CBs just aren’t worth premium anymore. I’ll be sick if we take a CB in round 1. Positional value isn’t there anymore esp since you need to play 4 deep. S is more important position with the rules the way they are IMO.

Man is Tyson really a top 5 talent?
He’s been rising fast and is now projected top ten.

He’s projected to have a higher ceiling than Lemon or Tate

NYG do need a WR but they also need linemen on both sides
