If this kid stays healthy he will have a pro bowl year. I hated we cut this guy. Oh well, he is better for it.

Thats 1 guy I wish we would've never let escape.

You never ever ever let a young QB like that get away. Oh well.

Matt Moore is a huge issue because of this:

In over ten years Jones has shown zero clues about the position of quarterback. I won't belabor the point listing the guys Jerry thought should lead this team. The only quarterback that Jerry believed merited a top draft slot was Quincy Carter--somebody no other GM even saw as a first day draft pick.

Oh and QB? It's only ten times more important than any other position in the NFL.

Only sheer luck landed us Romo. JJ didn't draft him and Jones clearly didn't know what he had with Tony (sheer greatness) in the first three seasons.

Jerry Jones played some ball as a lineman. He throws a football like an old woman and knows positively zip about the passing game. Let's remember: he thought Barry Switzer (option quarterback U) would make a fine head coach in the NFL.

Oh and Matt Moore is ALSO a huge issue because of this:
He could currently be a young, outstanding backup for our team...at a price well below what we are paying Kitna. He's more mobile with more upside than Kitna.

This guy is just another Matt Cassell. This season teams have tape on him and he won't be heard from again. Unless people just want him as trade bate, him not being here is a non-issue.

May I ask you which QBs you wanted us to select during that timeframe (not after the fact) that we actually had a shot at?

The only thing I hate more than we cut this guy is: We kept Brad (I couldnt break a payne of glass at 20 yards) Johnson over him.

Draft snob? I just don't get the big deal over a guy that had a couple of good games against teams with no tape on him. Why do we want him back here so badly?

The Cowboys wanted to keep Moore, they just didn't think that anyone else would take him on waivers when they tried to sneak him onto the practice squad. Calculated risks abound in selecting player personnel.

Carolina was knocking off good teams left and right at the end of the season, when he was QBing. I heard that 'Wait til they get film on him' line about another undrafted QB once....

Being a Pac 10 Homer I really liked Matt Moore and was frustrated that we let him get away. Good for him that he's getting a chance in Carolina. Like Tony Romo, he earned it. We have Romo, so I am not worried about him getting away.

I like him alot...too bad we couldn't keep him, but at least he gets a chance to play now.

I really liked what I saw of Moore in preseason when he was with us and was very disappointed when we tried to sneak him through waivers. We should have cut Brad Johnson instead and kept Moore but Jerry had a chubby for Johnson and chose poorly.

I am glad Moore is with the Panthers since I get to see them play a lot. The kid has the goods and is very well liked by his teammates. I knew that once they got a chance to see him play over an extended period they would dump Delhomme, which has now happened.

The Panthers have a very solid offense with outstanding RBs and a top WR in Steve Smith. If they can get their defense working again (made more difficult with letting Peppers get away) they could be a dangerous team in the NFC. Moore is a good leader and a smart player. Not a great arm but accurate enough to get the ball where it needs to be and he is pretty mobile as well.

Oh that's right! We do have Tony Romo. After reading all this whining about Matt Moore becoming a starting QB for another team, I almost thought that we were sticking with Clint Stoener.

Exactly! If the back up for the Saints or Chargers, etc. get's cut I doubt any of them could care less. Something about cowboys fans always being obsessed with backups. We have one of the top QBs in the game and people are crying about Matt Moor? Come on.

No kidding....I still remember how upset some people were when ReShard Lee was cut. Where is he now?
