I just don't see Carpenter as a "dynamic pass rusher" like Lawson and Wimbley. He doesn't measure up to that either on the field or his size/testing ability. And Wimbley is faster than Carpenter, all Carpenter's times are from Ohio St. and would have been much slower if he had worked out at the combine like Wimbley and Lawson did.

Wow. I'm surprised (no I'm not) you didn't mention anything about Carpenter running his 40s eventhough he wasn't 100% healed from his injury. I can't believe (yes I can) you'd leave that out.

no to colledge. how is a guy who can only bench 225 like 16 times a mauler? the guy is a softy with good feet, and not a RT.

I don't necessarily see that as a bad thing.


Think about it, if the kid did so well in college yet didn't have great muscle endurance/strength, then how did he do so well in college?


A guy can get stronger once he's in the NFL.

But he can't get "Talent" he doesn't already have.

I like Colledge as well, but the only thing that scares me about him is that he has already put on a lot of weight just to get where he is.

I still think he is a serious target in 2.

I'm hoping a guy like Eric Winston falls to us in the second. Not likely, but I can hope right?
