He's in the same boat as Romo. One career playoff win. Huge extension this offseason. I'd like to see if he and the Falcons take as much flack for this as Romo. My guess is going to be no.

Difference being, Ryan still has a lot of years left in the league to get it figured out, Romo is nearing the end.

for at least the last 3 years it is clear Ryan has had the superior team around him. So why has he not gotten the grief Romo has? 1 playoff win and he clearly choked in his last playoff game

I guess it's a matter of opinion, the Cowboys are amongst the most talented teams in the league year in and year out. Ryan isn't going to get the same amount of grief because: a. He's a full 5 years younger, and unlike Romo, has not hit his maturity as a QB... b. Romo plays for the Cowboys, while Ryan plays for a team that most people could care less about. Romo is also being held to a completely different standard. The best QB in Falcons history is... Chris Chandler (?), the Cowboys have a long line of great players at the position.

oh BS it is clear the falcons have had a better D, better O line and that is a huge edge especially in the playoffs. Show me any real pro football guy that would agree with you that the Boys have the same amount of talent

Are we speaking over the entirety of their careers, or current day?

Another person who only looks at the shiny objects to define "talent" when those pieces are worth so much less without talent in the trenches.

But this is no surprise as you rarely have much to say in favor of Romo.

BTW, this is not a comment to oppose Ryan. He deserves whatever he can get.

That is the issue every season. We are not one of the most talented teams year in and year out. People believe this and when we fall short, all the blame usually goes to Romo. We had one of the worst o-lines last year and a defense that was pretty much dead last in forcing turnovers. Does that scream most talented to you?
