I’m for it.by that logic why don't we draft Tyler Warren?. he can get open and outmuscle any body covering him

Exactly. If we don't solve the Oline and RB position well, it won't matter who we draft. A great line with a RB is the answer. It can mask many holes on a team. Demarco Murray and our Oline in 2014 comes to mind. The defense was not very good, so what we employed was ground and pound eating the clock, closing out games running the Rock. We will need to do this again while we are fixing the d. This draft for me is more about fixing the running game. After that, things will fall into place. We need to bully teams running it.JMO, sign a FA WR.......there is still SDiggs and ACooper out there.
Trade down and Use rd 1-3 on (playmaker- preferably on D; prefer CB, LB, DE), DT, and RB.
If this team doesn't get a running game, then it doesn't matter who WR2 is. Dak is not Mahomes, Burrow, or Allen. He isn't going to put precise throws 40 yds down the field. He needs a running game. So get the running game first.
And get the D straightened out. Dallas can score 28 a game, and it not matter a bit if the D is giving up 35. Right now, most of the assets and money are tied into the QB, front line, and WR........at least until Parsons signs. This team badly needs DL, LB and RB. It isn't going anywhere till these three positions are made better.
Then and only then would a WR2 make any difference at all. There is still only one ball they are playing with. There are still 5 OL, 1 QB, and 5 skill players on the field. Teams love it when the QB is a playmaker as well, but in general 5-1-5 is the setup. Teams and people don't seem to understand that one group of skill players sets up the other group, and excellent TE's help both the running and passing games. The talent on the team determines the playmakers, but the coaching is the one who either makes it excel or allows it to decline.
Best case in my view is to trade down to 17 for a 3 or 20 for a 2 and then take Golden at 17 or 20 and DT, RB and CB with the other 3 picks in rds 2/3We have no offensive weapons outside of Lamb.
WRs are ridiculously overpriced right now as free agents.
Golden is good at all the things Dak likes.
He is a good route runner / separator
He has incredible 4.29 speed
He’s 6’0
He can track the football and has a large catch radius
He also plays big in big games.
He looks like a Antonio Brown starter kit on the field to me.
The Arizona guy just looks like a guy Dak would struggle to get the ball to.
I think Golden almost has to be our pick at this point.
I feel like that is what is said about 90% of the first round prospects I read about here.Golden like the other wide receivers in this draft is player you would like to pick in 20s or the top of the second round. Is he really better than what we have in Tolbert. Before the college season started he was Texas’s 3rd receiver. He never had any big seasons in college as well. So many questions.
This draft sucks. No quarterback is in the consensus top 5 players, A running back that is not athletically special is considered a top 3 player. It is telling me all I need to know.I feel like that is what is said about 90% of the first round prospects I read about here.
There are a few elite prospects in this draft (Carter, Graham, Jeanty, Hunter) but everyone else has question marks.
I’m starting to feel like people are going to say “we could have taken him later!” no matter who it is, barring something miraculous happens like Graham falling.
for me only 2 cant miss blue chip players in this draft-Carter and Hunter.lot of players with potential and warts tooThis draft sucks. No quarterback is in the consensus top 5 players, A running back that is not athletically special is considered a top 3 player. It is telling me all I need to know.

The experts would say you need to put your Texas biases away.If we go wr he's the only one worth it. I don't care what the experts say

I'm not a fan of Texas nor a fan of taking him at 12. I'm saying IF this dumb team is hellbent on taking a wr I'd take Golden. Not value menu ceedee (burden) or Courtland Suttons twin. Golden can actually run routes and separate unlike those twoThe experts would say you need to put your Texas biases away.
Wow. A whole 62 yards receiving per game in his best college year!
I’m not sure Tet is the unanimous top WR.Like him in a trade down but don’t see good value at 12.
Tet is good at 12 and Golden late teens.
I wouldn't mind it and he could probably do what a wide receiver could do with the speed he has. This guy would be a difference maker in this power running game the way he blocks as well.I’m for it.
I lean toward him if we're taking a receiver in the first round. I'd like him with a trade down, but I don't know if we could get him since he may go a few picks after ours. I wouldn't be mad about the pick at 12.We have no offensive weapons outside of Lamb.

TE Tyler Warren seems like a very good Tight End prospect to draft.I wouldn't mind it and he could probably do what a wide receiver could do with the speed he has. This guy would be a difference maker in this power running game the way he blocks as well.
I agree we are pretty strong at TE but he could be best player available when Dallas is on the clock you never know how these drafts unfold.TE Tyler Warren seems like a very good Tight End prospect to draft.
Problem is the Cowboys don't need a TE.
We have:
So, as one can see, the Dallas Cowboys have 5 young and talented Tight Ends. The Tight End position is not in need. The Cowboys would seriously be wasting a very limited draft pick(s) on a Tight End when other positions are in dire need.
- Jake Ferguson
- Luke Schoonmaker
- Princeton Fant
- John Stephens Jr
- Brevyn Spann-Ford
If we passed on graham for a WR I’d lose it. But that’s what happens when you sign Paris Campbell instead of a Kupp or Allen.Seems there is a huge drop off in talent at all positions this year. Except RB and DT. Our two biggest needs.
Take the BPA at any of those other positions of need. Take a RB or DT in the 2nd round.
No one would question the pick. You hope Tet Mc falls but considering the money Chase and Higgins just got you can’t complain about getting a true WR 2 if not WR1We have no offensive weapons outside of Lamb.
